A rather basic question, to which I think I once knew the answer - what's the scheme involved with the stars?
Color appears to have some relationship to functions - mods, etc.
Number doesn't seem to be related to no. of posts
Many years,

Here's the current system for stars and titles:
Newbie (0-24 posts) - 1 star Jr. Member (25-99) - 2 stars Member (100-449) - 3 stars Sr. Member (450-999) - 4 stars Elder (1000-1499) - 5 stars High Elder (1500-1999) - 6 stars OC.net Guru (2000-2499) - 7 stars Archon (2500+) - 8 stars
Section Moderator (regardless of posts) - 5 blue stars Global Moderator (regardless of posts) - 5 green stars Administrator (regardless of posts) - 5 red stars
Warning levels - dots, not stars (hopefully you won't need this info, but it's obvious when you see it).

George,
Thanks for that, it's about what I thought, but I just noticed an inconsistency (actually the one that caused me to ask - but I had forgotten who the poster was)
prodromas - an active GO poster, has a count of 425 posts, but only a single star?
Many years,
Neil

Yeah, I've noticed the same with me. I've never had more than one star, regardless of post count.

I'm wondering if everyone with 25+ posts who has just one star also happen to be signed up for the Private Boards...
OK. I've run an experiment - those of you with 25+ posts who have just one star are in your situation because the Membergroup for the Private Boards only has 1 star, and it overrides your post-count-based star designation (just as my Global Moderator Membergroup overrides my own post-count-based star designation - which would ironically enough be 1 star).

Can someone please refresh me on the star system again? I just can't find the whole thing. Also, why are so many member stuck on one star, many with over 1,000 posts?

Read THAT; administrators, moderators and site supporters always have 5 stars of different colors (no mate how many posts they have); the lacking of stars is a technologic error and can be resolved by Fr. Anastasios.
