For my grandfather and grandmother
« on: November 14, 2007, 05:15:18 PM »
I humbly ask for all of your prayers for my grandfather, Christian, who is in the hospital with cancer of the kidneys that he be given a speedy recovery, or, if God desires, that he be granted a peaceful departure.

I also ask for prayers for my grandmother as she is having a very difficult time coping with this.  Thanks.

Lord have mercy!
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, & godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope & glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed & purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.  Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. (Titus 2:11-15)

An old timer is a man who's had a lot of interesting experiences -- some of them true.

Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway, the good fortune to run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference.

Thank you everyone for your prayers.  My grandfather is out of the hospital and is back home, though very weak.  My grandmother is doing the best that she can.  Again, my sincere thanks and may God continue to be merciful to all of you.
