Daylight Savings Time
« on: November 03, 2007, 11:17:34 PM »
Just a reminder for  folks in the 48 (?) US states that observe Daylight Savings Time, set your clocks back 1 hour tonight.  (Or maybe not and you'll be guaranteed of making it to church on time for Hours).  Everyone else in the world, just carry on as usual - don't mind us.
On the spiritual path somewhere between the Simpsons and St. Theophan the Recluse, but I still can't see the Springfield city limits sign yet.

Well, the good news is that if you forget, you'll just show up for church an hour early, which is no big deal. ;)

Speaking of the end of Daylight Savings Time - I think the forum clock needs to be reset.  Up until yesterday, the forum was on EDT.  Now it's displaying time in the Atlantic.

Not those of us in the Smart State of Queensland 8)

We know only too well that Daylight Savings fades the curtains.

We'll never ever have it again up here. One trial year a couple of decades ago was far too much. The poor cows can't cope with it anyway.

We have a Smart State of Arizona which refuses to have daylight saving time as well. They're much more sensible than the Possibly Completely Off Their Rockers State of Indiana which allows each county to choose whether it wants to participate. That and the fact that the state is in two different time zones means it's nearly impossible to tell what time it is in Indiana.

Navajo County in AZ does participate in daylight savings time so that the entire Navajo Nation remains on the same time.

I visit AZ monthly to see my sis & bro in law, but if they let too many of those kalifornians immigrate it will go to... :P

Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway, the good fortune to run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference.

As whacky as the politics are in California, coupled with the Islamic growth/conversions, it will soon be renamed Caliph-ornia. :o
