I work in an interesting place...check this out...

http://www.lansingstatejournal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2007710240310

I am dying over here because I had to fax a headline to the tv station for the little ticker that runs across our local weather channel and I think they thought we were messing with them because the other headlines are up but not this one. It was "Zombie attack preparedness causes international stir"
This ran in our entertainment newszine called NOISE which is all about what's happening and what's cool since we live in a Big 10 College town. NOT OUR NEWSPAPER!!!! A subsection that is fun.
But some rag over in Britain picked it up as truth that we are prepared for a zombie attack. Then the New York Post picked it up and now things like News of the Weird and stuff like that are picking it up and laughing at us because they are complete morons who cannot take a joke. I think the article was funny. The writer was laughing his behind off tonight as he explained to me how he was receiving all kinds of e-mails and explaining to us why it had to go to the tv station.

This is so hilarious! Its not amazing how many times this happens in the media considering the speed of communication these days. The internet has a great ability to magnify stupidity!

Being from Ohio, I have to ask this question:

How can I determine the difference between this:

a zombie...

and your 'typical' Michigander approaching an Ohioan to borrow money, perform simple arithmetic---anything that is insurmountable to someone from that state?

I take it you're a Buckeye fan.  Their football team is ranked No. 1, ya know. ;)

Yeah, you're right...I think I heard something about that...

such as every time someone asks me around my parish "Father, who's your favorite football team: 'Bama or Auburn?"

And I respond with "The #1 Ranked Oho State Buckeyes!"

btw...the 10-0 Buckeyes just beat Wisconsin 38-17.

Hey, maybe it'll be my [Oregon] Ducks (currently 5th in the BCS standings) and your Buckeyes in the BCS Championship Game.  Our QB, Dennis Dixon, is currently second, according to one source of whom I've read, in consideration for the Heisman.

BTW, your archrival, Michigan, knows about the Ducks, particularly after we tamed their Wolverines 39-7 earlier this year.

Yeah that was the old Wolverines.  We did away with them.  Didn't they play you just after that Appalachia State fiasco?  It was a rough couple of weeks.

Yahbut... the Ducks just knocked No. 4 Arizona State out of the ranks of the unbeaten, with Heisman candidate Dennis Dixon throwing 4 TD passes. ;D  I don't know about the Wolverines, but I know the Oregon Ducks are the real deal.

No need to be dissing MY school.  This is one of the best seasons we've put together in a long time.

I don't doubt that, not with Dennis Erickson coaching your team--he recently led Oregon State to their best season in many years.  But the fact is, your team still lost today. ;)
