Desert Fathers etext
« on: October 23, 2007, 08:06:58 PM »
Hi all,

Is there an etext site with the sayings of the Desert Fathers?

Much appreciated!   ;D

God bless.

This would be so cool.  Has anyone heard of anything like this?  Who could we bug about doing this if it is not already done?

Not that I am aware of. There are some sites that offer a collection of some sayings, but nothing comprehensive. I ended up having to go the my diocesan library to borrow the book by Benedicta Ward.
Through the intercession of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, may Jesus Christ bless you abundantly.

I wanted so much to share this with you since finding this site (which means today :D).

Blessed be the Lord for His wonderful gifts!

And He said to them, It is written, 'MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED A HOUSE OF PRAYER.'

Lord, heal my soul for I have sinned against you.

That's nice. Thank you.

(I'm not sure whether this is legal in countries like the US, though)
