Just received a phone call from a friend who mentioned her parents and grandmother are trapped in the area hit by wildfires around San Diego, California. Please remember them and everyone else affected, if you could. Thanks!

My friend updated me on her parents: They're still in San Diego, but not in immediate danger. Thank you for your prayers and Lord continue to have mercy.

Panagiotis is here staying with hubby and me; his family, old friends, old hangouts, etc. are out by the fires. He's very worried.

I just learned that the parents of a woman in my parish lost their home and everything in it to one of the fires; they made it out alive. Lord, have mercy.
