For all you Depeche Mode Fans..............

Dave Gahan has another solo album coming out on Tuesday. It is called Hour Glass. His first single is called "Kingdom". It is totally awesome; quite frankly, it sounds even better than a lot of Depeche Mode stuff (which is saying a lot). Here is a link, let me know what you think

If it weren't for my roommate, who's turntable's, cd player, computer, car sound system and mp3 players are always spinning Depeche Mode, I might never have heard of this song !  And though I'm not a huge DM fan (I do like them), I really like this song.  I haven't decided how I feel about the lyrics yet; I've posted them so you can decide for yourself (as well as sing along to the video ).

 Dave's getting older now, and so he's probably grappling with life's bigger issues these days.  I think his music nowadays is about genuinely questioning God's existence rather than just mocking like he used to do.  Whatever the case may be, he's proven he doesn't need Martin as much as we though.

yea.....Dave Gahan has one of the most unique voices in the music world. It will be another good one for sure. I have heard Depeche Mode will be coming out with another album down the road also. Can't wait!

Yeah, it struck me Dave is dealing with theology and his existential existence. I feel his lyrics are more honest than Martin's. I respect his openness. I view the video through theological lens. It seems the video is showing how God is near, and far at the same time. The lights represent His presence around us and in us even when we aren't paying attention.

I checked them out but didn't see any free weights or nautilus equipment in either of those gyms.   Maybe they're Jims?
