I back checked the prayer forum and found I never posted a prayer request for my wife's illness here with my OCnet friends and I am truly sorry that I forgot (alot on the plate at the time which would take up too much time presently to explain).
My wife Debbie has been suffering with a Multiple Sclerosis type disease for close to 10 months now and is not improving. Dealing with HMO's is a pain in the dupa (pardon my Polish)...
Your prayers and thoughts for her will be much appreciated...

Lord, have mercy! My own Dean in med school has a wife who is also suffering from MS (both are Orthodox), and he is an inspiration on how much he helps his wife and still maintains a positive view of life and a great Orthodox spirituality.

We just received a call this morning regarding a cancellation at USC Medical Center, we will be leaving shortly, pray that they ID and have a treatment available so that her hopes and faith don't get dashed by the evil one...
May the Mother of our Lord, O holy Theodokos, intercede and comfort her...

Drove 62 miles one way, checked in, filled out paper work, paid co-payment, waited bout 30 minutes & was informed that the doctor could not see her due to load...she left crying.

I'm a equal opportunity update person(meaning I mainly post in 2 forums), today we/Debbie(wife) had a appointment at Cedar-Sinai Hospital for another consultation with another neurologist who happened to come from Moscow...our primary doctor is from Poland, only in America !
Anyway, the 3 previous doctor opinions leaned towards Atexia, a brain disorder, today's Doc wants another spinal tap & blood tests for items not checked previously...
Your prayers and thoughts are much appreciated, my posts and visits are limited by the doubling of chores around here...and various medicinal beverages for sanity...

Tomorrow Debbie is scheduled for another spinal tap & blood tests to be sent to the Mayo Clinic for analysis.
If possible could you also add her best friend Linda whose 8 month old lab Jolynn was attacked by a couple of large raccoons and died plus a couple of days later she was involved in a accident sustaining a bad concussion and shoulder injury...
Linda & her husband Joe (eternal memory) were our witnesses (plus my high school friends) when we married so many years ago...

Well almost a good day, blood tests no problems, drove to the other medical facility, prepared for the procedure, waited...and zap, no medical orders were delivered for anything, do we the subscribers/patients need to walk the paperwork ourselves...? so a reschedule and that phrase to hate, to be continued...

We made it there safely and in time through a stormy L.A. morning, and several samples were taken and sent to the Mayo Clinic.
All that remains is a treatment be found for her condition...
May St. Nektarios intercede on her behalf...
