New Discussion Venues
« on: October 13, 2007, 04:31:45 PM »
Hi all,

In an effort to expand discussion, we've created a new board known as the Orthodox-Other Christian discussion forum.

We've consolidated the Orthodox-Catholic discussion, which will remain the same, under this new Orthodox-Other Christian heading.  In addition, we've created a new board known as the Orthodox-Protestant Discussion board which will feature discussion of issues relative to Orthodoxy and Protestant denominations.

Greetings>I am a rank Newbie and cannot find how to post. I read the help file which said "Browse to the board where you wish to post and click the New Topic button (positioned by default at both the top and the bottom of the board)

I do not see any such button and am obviously doing something wrong. Can someone tell me what I'm missing?

Thanks, Je'

Welcome to the Forum!

If you wish to start a new topic, navigate to the Forum under which your topic best fits.

Click on that Forum, ie.  Faith Issues, Liturgy, Other Topics, etc.

On the far right you will see a darker blue field, MARK READ  |  NOTIFY  |  NEW TOPIC  |  POST NEW POLL

Click on "New Topic"....give it a title, and off you go!

I would like to say that I believe - with all that God has given me the Grace to understand - that it is so very important that we pray for those who follow the false prophet Mohammad. Our prayers for their salvation is as important as our prayers for our Christian brethren.

Jesus gave us a great commandment - one that, in my very humble opinion - sums up all it means to be a Christian.  "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another as I have loved you. By this will all know you are my disciples - that you have love for one another.

What good does it do for us to love only other Christians? Did not Jesus mean He wanted us to love ALL mankind? We must love Muslims, Buddhists, and atheists as well. If love is to have meaning it must not have boundaries.

"In the end only three things endure - Faith, Hope, and Love - and the greatest of these is Love".  St. Paul - the Apostle of the Gentiles.
