Preachin'
« on: October 07, 2007, 10:08:35 PM »
Hello all!

I preached this morning during the Divine Liturgy at my home parish. The sermon's title was "God's Preemptive Love." It was definitely one of those times when preaching goes right -- when one can just trust in God to do the real work and touch people's hearts.

I'm not at all sure that watching it online would yield similar fruit, but (for those who are interested) a full video/audio version of the sermon is available on Orthodox Christian Network's Web site. Here's the link:

Just click on the "Watch archived services on demand" link. The sermon starts at 1:28.

Sure! It turned out to be particularly powerful because, unbeknown to me (since I'm new), there are a number of widows in the community, several of whom are actually quite young with children. The message really touched them and their families.

FYI: We usually have fairly good sermons, especially on the Sundays that Fr. Chris speaks. You can check them out every week at your convenience.

Thank you. And Glory to God Who sends His labourers to tend the field!
