A Dying Friend
« on: October 03, 2007, 11:19:12 AM »
Please pray for Terry. He has motor neurone disease, and has only a few days to live, if that. Pray for his wife, children and family. He was our sergeant at the local police station. It's sad to see him go from an energetic person to what he is today. Pray he suffers little.

Save, O Lord, and have mercy on Thy servant.
Deliver him from every tribulation, wrath and need.
From every sickness of soul and body.
Forgive him every transgression, voluntary and involuntary.
And do whatever is profitable for our souls.
Especially, for those who wait in sorrow over the dying of our own
for that time when your Holy Angels will come for us
and bring us in unity with all your loved ones
to sing and praise your Glory forever and ever. Amen.
St Basil the Great (330-379 A.D.): “I think then that the one goal of all who are really and truly serving the Lord ought to be to bring back to union the churches who have at different times and in diverse manners divided from one another.”

Just to let you know Terry died on Sunday past. He was declared brain dead on Wednesday, but he managed to breath about 4 times a minute for another four days. I'm sure his family appreciate your prayers.
