It appears that yiayia (Greek for "grandma") has had a mini-stroke, and may have an embolism as well.  Please pray for her physical and spiritual health, and that strength may be granted to my family to take care of her as long as is necessary.

Holy Father Patrick, thank you for your help!

O Lord our God, Who by word alone did heal all diseases, Who did cure the kinswoman of Peter, You Who chastise with pity and heal according to Your goodness; Who are able to put aside every malady and infirmity, do You Yourself, the same Lord, grant aid to this Your servant and heal her of every sickness of which she is grieved; lift her up from her bed, and send down upon her Your great mercy, and if it be Your Will, give to her health and a complete recovery; for You are the Physician of our souls and bodies, and to You do we send up Glory: to Father, and to Son, and to Holy Spirit, both now and ever, and to the ages of ages.

Cleveland, I'm very sorry for your yiayia (hopefully Nektarios won't make another comment on the occaisonal use of Greek by people in the GOA....)

Please let us know how she is doing!

Spent time with her yesterday.  It was indeed a "small" (as far as physical area affected) stroke; she has limited motor control, and limited ability to verbally express herself.  They will be doing physical therapy soon - there is a good prognosis for major recovery.  Thank you all for your prayers.

Kyrie Eleison!

May Jesus help your Grandmother and restore here health. I know a few people, who had serious strokes even with dangerous expectations, but fortunately they recovered. May God help her and all your family in everything, my friend!
