Arvo Pärt - Cantique(Ignore the highbrow purist who wrote the review; it's simply stunning, and after all, we have no issues with repetition! )

Havok, 'The Root of Evil'
From Burn... I like that album. I don't think their 2nd album ( Time is Up) or the EP ( Point of No Return) lived up to expectations, but I still have high hopes for their future.

Getting a little bit into Reggae and Blues/Soul. I'm still an amateur in regards to the first, so I've been starting off with Bob Marley. I like his rebellious side with songs like I Shot the Sheriff, and as for Blues/Soul, I kinda like Robert Johnson, and sometimes Kool G Rap when I want a little bit of hip-hop thrown in.

Can't go wrong with Bob Marley and Robert Johnson. Of course, they were polar opposites in the spiritual directions their lives took. Robert Johnson's music is chilling. I can't listen to it anymore. " Me and the Devil Blues," "Hellhound on My Trail"... brilliant but scary stuff. If you want some reggae with a hip-hop feel, try some conscious dancehall artists like Sizzla, Capleton, and Anthony B. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UTJyQf825ohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=nEd7CXys2vQhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ELdtZ1LcjZ4Selam

Heck yeah. 'Setting Sons' album was his finest moment, and that may very well be the best song from the album, though it is really best experienced as part of a thematic whole. I think the album was conceived as a sort of a nostalgic 'rock opera' (?), somewhat along the lines of Kinks' 'Village Green Preservation Society'; Always seemed that way to me, anyhow.

I had never heard of this artist or even listened to hardly any blues before but after checking him on youtube I became an instant fan. Indeed, brilliant stuff.

Agreed all around. One of my bands is playing at a Jam/Clash tribute night next month and we're doing "Thick as Thieves" (along with "A Bomb," "Pretty Green," and "Saturday's Kids"), hence why I'm listening to just this over and over and over. Of course, it's Weller Wednesday, too, so that leads me to my late morning soundtrack of Stanley Road (live).

Wait, people actually listen to Madonna on purpose, as if she's good music? I thought she was just some pleasing background noise for people who don't really care about music.
