Few moments can take away our breath, but when they do they leave us gasping for beauty. This is one of those moments:

Aerosmith - Amazing Good song. Couldn't listen to it for about 10 years though because MTV used to play it 4 times every hour, for about 5 months, and I got sick of it. Of course MTV fixed that issue by deciding not to play any music now

If you don't mind reading subs, or can understand French, this song is a pretty powerful commentary on how much our culture's values have changed over the course of a few generations. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKCRHhmHvjg (Full disclosure: a couple of bad words)

Ella Fitzgerald is far superior to that woman, and Armstrong is even better than Fitzgerald. You just named two of the worst interrupters of music who ever lived. You are quite clearly mentally damaged. Obviously, but this is no sign of it. The bottom line is that people who gush over Armstrong and Ella have near to no idea of the music they are performing. Get hip to Weil and if you possible Porter and you tell me this is anything but tripe. Porter's work has been so influenced by the ridiculous performances by Ella, it's hard to even find a decent recording. Oh, but we can imagine.
