I've never had the privelage of staying at a Holiday Inn.
I think Orthonorm must have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. But I'm sure it's an experience that Ice Cube will never forget. Selam

You sleep through the 90's? Or just stuck in the arctic without a radio?* * Note: my joking should not be taken as an endorsement of Creed as a band, or as an implied recommendation of their music.

LOL When they came out I was very busy-hubby had left, wanted a divorce, had my youngest still at home, worked 2 jobs, then later my grandson came to live with me, and was still working 2 jobs. Only been able to get some breathing room lately, Didnt have much time to listen to new music, unless it was played on the radio, and the station that played them I don't listen to much, they pla a lot of death music that I can't stand.

Donovan- "The Sun is a Very Magic Fellow" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9dtdtyi0kAThis seems like such a ridiculously typical hippy song but I love it, at least until he says "a girl is a pillow for my sadness" which seems to pass from personifying objects to objectifying persons

I should have the new Mastodon album in my hands right now. I ordered it from amazon.com last week, but it hasn't arrived yet. However, I saw it in Walmart today, so I figured I'd buy it and then give the other copy to my brother. Then I noticed that the Walmart version was edited/censored. Wth. This again? Seriously? And they have a Metallica album two feet away that has multiple f-bombs, but which isn't censored? Fine, I can listen to the songs on youtube till the album comes. Mastodon - Black Tongue

Weird Al - White and NerdyI know people like to slam Al, but his music is just describing the world in which he lives. Yes, it can be a bit rough, but that's because he comes from a rough neighborhood. When you grow up on the mean streets of Lynwood, you're going to have to make some difficult choices, and you're going to have some demons to deal with. Al just deals with those demons through music, and we fellow suffers can really identify with what he's talking about. What other major band or artist is talking about the Picard vs. Kirk struggle, or how we uber-whitebread geeks are discriminated against?

Asterisk. LOL. Weird Al has corny lyrics but I can sing at least 4 of his songs from memory! Very catchy. Sophie B. Hawkins, ****, I wish I was your lover (lol wasn't sure if that word would be kosher to post here or not.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lt6r-k9Bk6o&ob=av2eI don't tell my parents that I still listen to her because they would laugh at me. They were actually pretty up on the music trends of the time (actually, they still are today, and spent five minutes arguing about a Lady Gaga song) and this was from one of the CDs I heard all the time growing up. I love her voice. Sophie, Alanis, Tracy Chapman, Billy Joel, The Real McCoy, Ace of Base, Abba. Those were the artists I keep with me. Not Mariah Carey or Enya. LOL. There are some others but I will neglect to list them.

A YouTube comment I saw: I made a video journal of a girl I work with, followed her home every day, for 3 months, I turn it into a 3m 40s clip with "creep" soundtrack, and told her it's a happy song. I lost my job and about to go to court next week, I just like to thank Tom Yorke and Co. for this happy song.
