Here I am playing some very simple guitar in my study. Very basic stuff; I'm not very good. I recorded this with my digital camera, so the quality is poor. I'm really posting this so that I can get some suggestions and help as to how to improve the sound of recording. Is there some type of microphone that plugs into a digital camera? I'm really ignorant about this stuff. Thanks for any help and advice you can give me- on how to record better quality sound or how to improve my guitar playing. :)

It largely depends on the camera.  Some cameras have 1/8" input jacks for external mics, but many do not.  One thing you can experiment with is finding where the mic on the camera itself is.  You might be able to cut some of the volume distortion out by taping a small wad of cotton over the mic hole, being careful to not actually put tape over the mic hole itself.

Alternatively, you can go to a place like RadioShack and get a $30 microphone (and the right kind of adapters so you can plug it into your camera, of course...they'll be able to help you there) and try that route.

BTW, you play very well. :)

Watched your video.  How do you keep your hair shinny?  I used to have long hair a few years ago (wore it in a bun like you) but it would always get frizzy.

lol! It's probably just the camera. I don't know. I'm just thankful I still have a full head of hair at age 42. Don't know how long that'll last though.

Songbirds sweetly singing outside our screen door (which is open because it's an unseasonable but quite welcome 82° today), and a lawn mower in the distance.

RUSH... High School memories. I still enjoy them though. After Subdivisions they kind of lost me, but their stuff prior to that was amazing.

I call this one "Lullaby", because I used to play this simple little tune to put my first born son to sleep when he was a baby. In fact, I have played it to help put all my children to sleep. It's so monotonous that it will probably put you to sleep to! ;)

Yeah, I always liked that song. Black Hole Sun got much more air time, but it's not nearly as good as Fell on Black Days.
