That's what I'm hearing right now and after losing the electricity for more than 2 days because of a storm, the booms and moments of darkness aren't very appealing

I am thankful I live in a country where it is available, except for a few glitches, and taken as an everyday necessity (when actually it really isn't a necessity for living). I've actually enjoyed the total silence immensely during those times, rather than getting frustrated over what's going to go bad in fridge, no hot water, or no running water, and other inconveniences it causes. Kind of like that saying, "Be still, and know that I am God" But that's just me!

Kind of like that saying, "Be still, and know that I am God" But that's just me! Well, with three kids there sure isn't any total silence around here whether we have electricity or not. And while we've used the bbq grill to cook and heat small quantities of water when there hasn't been power, it's still very nice to have the hot water heater and a working stove particularly when one of the offspring is a teenage boy. Some friends of ours nearby have a well so when they don't have power they also don't have water. *that* is a serious loss that's on beyond inconvenient.

For the countless time: Neutral Milk Hotel. In the Aeroplane over the Sea. This first two fantastic tracks appended ( The King of Carrot Flowers Pts. 1-3): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4avoEbGjYu0This is second youtube "video" gives the general theme of the album ( In the Aeroplane Over The Sea: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AH3CRVVBL9oMy favorite, Holland, 1945. Music simply with the lyrics (Other links on youtube give more explicit (in both senses) of the theme of this song. Some of them rather graphic images of the horros of the Shoah): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCjpbjCH5L0

Pentagle? Yipes. If you like folk from that period, perhaps you might like one of the more talented "folk" performers from today. Although I wince a bit when I use "folk" to describe her music, her talents both instrumental and lyrical seem to be far too complicated to fit into the genre. Since many of her songs are longer than 10 minutes, they can't be captured in a single youtube clip. (Her less trained voice takes a bit of time to get used to, but really she writes some of the best lyrics of "pop" music nowadays.) Joanna Newsome, "Emily": Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RK7fYv9NZaAPart 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95kevETQyrs
