I've had the Beatles on lately.  Caitlin really likes "Here Comes the Sun" and "Yellow Submarine."

She probably would.  You should see her rocking out to it!  It's hilarious.  I tried to get a video of her dancing to Mr. Y playing drums on Rock Band, but she stopped by the time I had the camera cued up.

I've been listening to Waylon Jennings lately.  Y'all will probably remember him from The Dukes of Hazzard's theme song "Good 'Ol Boys" (how 'bout that Daisy Duke, huh fellers?) and also as the narrator from the show.  I've had Good Hearted Woman with Willie Nelson and friends playing.  Great song.  Waylon passed back in '02 or '03 I believe.  Lord have mercy on that 'good 'ol boy'...

I know this might sound funny but, I kinda liked this song (though I probably couldn't handle too much of this type of music).  Reminds me of "The Cure" and "Nine Inch Nails".  Betcha' never thought a small town country boy would say that! Cheesy

Enya's latest CD (released earlier this month):  And Winter Came...

Like every one of her CD's, this too has an overarching theme, that being (for this CD) winter, with some music devoted to Christmas.

I like that CD, To Hell With the Devil. It's a bit soft for metal, but it has some good ballads on it.

I'm listening to some early Deliverance. Christian metal, a bit simplistic, especially on the first album (which I actually prefer), but definitely listenable if you like metal. Found a couple Youtube vids from their first album...

Victory
Jehovah Jireh
Blood of the Covenant

And one from their second album...

Speaking of the killers, I just read in the latest Rolling Stone magazine that Brandon Flowers (the killers singer) is a devout Mormon. For some reason, this creeped me out. I guess the Mormons have the Osmans, Napoleon Dynamite and the killers as a claim to fame.  Cheesy

Somehow it doesn't surprise me that Jon Heder would be Mormon.  The Killers, though?  Wow.

Why should it creep you out?  I don't think any of those people are particularly talented so maybe that says something about the creative talent of the Mormon pool.  Wink

Mistake #1: Reading Rolling Stone.

Quote
that Brandon Flowers (the killers singer) is a devout Mormon.
Mistake #2: "killers" should be written "Killers'."

Quote
For some reason, this creeped me out.
Mistake #3: Paying attention to celebrities' religion.

Quote
I guess the Mormons have the Osmans, Napoleon Dynamite and the killers as a claim to fame.  Cheesy
Mistake #4: Their name is the Osmonds.

So why be so judgmental of others?
