Video 18, 20, 26 and 23 in the playlist in that link are superb. THey make the arabic hymns very very heavenly. Very beautiful.

That awkward moment when your family speaks Arabic but you don't even like the phonology of the language... certain dialects are better than others I guess though

2 famous tracks from the legendary Donkey Kong Country games restored to HD. If you're not familiar but still like artists like Phil Collins you may enjoy this as well. ;) I was too young to experience these games firsthand but I have played them. Absolutely wonderful aesthetic all around, and one of the best soundtracks of any game ever. 1 and 2 especially, not so much 3 but still great.

Some arabic accents are weird. Lebanese arabic is different to Egyptian arabic. I dont understand the lebanese people when they speak arabic. No but the copts in Egypt make amazing heavenly hymns when they want to. They really elevate the heart from earth to heaven.

I don't know if this song was here...
Actually, I don't like it when women sing men's songs. They do not understand them, and therefore they vulgarize them. But there seems to be the norm.

Arabic hymns of praises for recent coptic saints. They sound really really good.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVqR0So0W9s&list=PLC58lNunv4hWfp_KBhyXNcO30hKwisOah&index=2

Video 18, 20, 26 and 23 in the playlist in that link are superb. THey make the arabic hymns very very heavenly. Very beautiful.

That awkward moment when your family speaks Arabic but you don't even like the phonology of the language... certain dialects are better than others I guess though

I suppose on this point one could not unreasonably complain that these hymns are not being composed in Coptic, particularly given the increasing scope and success of Coptic language education in diaspora parishes (for several months, for reasons of geographic convenience, I attended a parish which coincidentally had an extremely excellent Coptic language program).
