Youtube and metal archives say 2008, but I definitely remember listening to most or all of this album back in 2000ish... *shrugs*

I like both for different reasons; I love how Simon & Garfunkel harmonize, and their sound in general.  I'm pretty smitten with her version too, though.

Listening to this for the first time since my teens- a series of songs very loosely telling the tale of Elric, Michael Moorcock's doomed albino emperor. The performance was a huge production with Michael Moorcock reading narrative bits while an actor played Elric . Theoretically the base material is the album Chronicle of the Black Sword but the live album blows it away in terms of atmosphere and energy and for some reason some of the best songs (e.g. "Moonglum (Friend Without A Cause)") weren't on the studio album at all.
“Steel isn't strong, boy, flesh is stronger! That is strength, boy! That is power! What is steel compared to the hand that wields it?  Contemplate this on the tree of woe.” - Elder Thulsa Doom of the Mountain of Power

Mencius said, “Instruction makes use of many techniques. When I do not deign to instruct someone, that too is a form of instruction.”

Come look at my lame blog

Mastodon - Hearts Alive

Unrelated to that song, but it's been over 6 years now since I bought a physical copy of an album, sat down, and listened to it straight through with my full attention. Sad! I can't even listen to the above song--which I went out of my way to look up on youtube 5 minutes ago--without drifting to another site (this one, lol), leaving the music in the background. Sad!

Hillbilly Moon Explosion - 'My Love For Evermore' (ft. Sparky from Demented Are Go)

For whatever reason, Sparky and this lass' vocals go well together. Unless you just don't like him, and then I can't help you.

And noted on the assignment, Hecma.
