Báthory - The Lake, good metal misses Quorthon.

You too? Does everyone in this forum listen to Metal?

Nah.  Some of us have insanely eclectic tastes (some would say shallow).  Or had, as the case may be.
Is any of the above Orthodox?  I have no idea, so there’s that.

I'm very eclectic too, maybe too much. Literally anyone hearing about my music taste will simultaneously love me and hate me for it. Right now, I'm starting the day with this:

Originais do Samba - Falador Passa Mal
"May the Lord our God remember in His kingdom all Holy Catholic Apostolic Church, which heralds the Word of Truth and fearlessly offers and distributes the Holy Oblation despite human deficiencies and persecutions moved by the powers of this world, in all time and unto the ages of ages."

I listen to all sorts of music. Even in genres I can safely say I don't like, there's bound to be at least a couple of artists I don't mind. Metal is definitely high on my preferences but doesn't dominate them. I tend to cycle through styles, sometimes going through one artist's entire discography before moving on to something totally different.

Currently riding on the mood of my time in Athens: Ελεονώρα Ζουγανέλη, Είπα στους φίλους μου

Tri-lingual is she??   :o  Good voice!

Fun!  My 10-year-old liked it, too, so I won't ask what the lyrics say.   ;D

It's about the importance of not telling gossip. Discarding the soft threats to the gossipper, it's a great lesson for 10-year-olds.

Very interesting Portuguese dark folk band:

Sangre Cavallum - Campo de Víboras

Christ my God, set my heart on fire with love in You, that in its flame I may love You with all my heart, with all my mind, and with all my soul and with all my strength, and my neighbor as myself, so that by keeping Your commandments I may glorify You the Giver of every good and perfect gift. Wishing to grant pardon for ancient debts, he who cancels the debts of all people came himself and dwelt among those who were estranged from his divine grace; and tearing apart the record of sin, he hears from everyone: Alleluia.

Sister Irene O'Connor - Fire of God's Love

Psychedelic rock solo project by a nun. Sounds picturesque, but it's rather amazing.

Pretty much my entire music catalog on the computer was restored yesterday, thanks to a very polite fellow from Carbonite, and I managed to install the desktop scrobbler from Last.fm, and everything works just fine. :)

Right now, playing "I Don't Depend on You," by the Human League.

Kmart March 1990

This is a great find. I am not fond of 1990s musak type background but there is a 1974 December KMart reel to reel with two hours of Christmas music and notices that you can only smoke in the snack bar.

If you cannot remember everything, instead of everything, I beg you, remember this without fail, that not to share our own wealth with the poor is theft from the poor and deprivation of their means of life; we do not possess our own wealth but theirs.  If we have this attitude, we will certainly offer our money; and by nourishing Christ in poverty here and laying up great profit hereafter, we will be able to attain the good things which are to come. - St. John Chrysostom
