Psalm 50

I haven't ever heard it chanted before.

Led Zeppelin - Ramble On

One of my top five Zeppelin songs. Might be #1 on my list. Just so good.

Gorgoroth - Ad omnipotens aeterne diabolus

Taking your band's name straight from LotR, naming your song with Latin nonsense and inserting "Hail Satan" into the lyrics is somewhat priceless but it actually sounds quite good.

"Chant Wars" with what's supposed to be pre-schism Roman, Frankish and Germanic chant, plus a bonus non-liturgical lament for Charlemagne. The reconstruction, of course, is just an educated guess though.
Quote from: Nun M.
The dread Pantocrator...is also "Christouli mou", (my little Christ), who really listens when you run in to your neighborhood church on the way to work to cry and light a candle because your daughter is in trouble at school. The untouchable and all-holy Mother of God is also "Panayitsa mou", who really will take your part before the court of heaven because, just like your own mom, she’ll always stick up for her children, no matter how badly they’ve behaved.

I was talking to a 14 yr old kid who was in his first year of getting into guitar and music, he was interested in my opinions because he knew I did that stuff a bit in my past, which was kind of flattering for me.  He asked me a basic question a 14yr old boy just getting into guitar would ask that I never asked myself:

"what's your favorite guitar solo?"

I don't think I ever thought in those terms,  but I think my answer is the one Jeff Beck plays in the Yardbird's "Shapes of Things".  I was obsessed with that song when I was 16 and that solo was probably one of the few I really tried to bother to learn and get the exact sound of.  Probably because that song has been part of my bloodstream for so long it's still the guitar solo I would first think about if I thought of "guitar solo's I like"

For the first time in years I'm listening to my old dark ambient project Scieppend and mīn riht!, I released the album Angleland using only synthetisers back in 2012, I had a plan of reforming the music and rerecording everything with keyboard/guitar/flute, but I ended up forgetting about it and now that I lost the original music sheets, it's almost impossible...

I'll soon upload everything to YouTube, but one can download it here. I'll soon upload everything to YouTube. Arachne might specially enjoy it.

I'm definitely going to listen, at the very least. I find dark ambient the best possible music to write to, and with NaNoWriMo coming up and having a project heavy on the horror lined up, more material would come in very handy. 8)

So sad that priest sing anti-christ song - death to the world. Better to sing be all alive in Jesus amen.
