I would quote the entire clip about the sound of a drill, but I don't want to get banned.

But to be fair, yes it would have to be censored here on the board, but it is not "graphic" as such. And it is really more than a "line", but if you can get any of the verse, the $$$ is yours or whoever's.

After getting TV recently, I watched an episode of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. A terrible show and nearly unwatchable. Ice-T provided comic relief. There is a plastic ficus in the lobby that can deliver lines with more conviction.

I actually have an affinity with backpack rappers. They always make creative stuff than the banal gangsta cliche bs

But there is an exception to everything

Why is SVU a terrible show? I'm genuinely curious.

When Martin Short was a guest actor on one episode, man that was an awesome episode. He killed it.

Dude, you can't be serious . . .

Maybe the new seasons, but I used to watch the show years ago.

Oh I forgot when Robin Williams was on it too, great episode.

Yeah the acting is hammy so I guess you can file that under guilty pleasure.

Yeah, you're not allowed to like anything as popular and normal as Law and Order. You can only like what Orthonorm tells you to.

I don't call something a ".sig" or dot-anything. That alone screams Snob.

By the way, I get everything from iTunes. It's pretty simple. There are no record stores anymore, so tell me, what 'upscale' places am I hanging out at? I go to work, I go home, that's it. I haven't gone out in years because I get panic attacks. Last time I went out, I was in a car crash and the car flipped over three times. I remember sitting there pulling glass out of my hands. That's why I get panic attacks. I have to take medicine when I wake up every day. That's what my life is like.

But no, the 'deck is stacked.' I use the cheapest, most easily available software in the world and a podcast service that runs a few dozen bucks a year. But no, I'm the snob.

Habit from doing internetz for forever, let's see what bing has to say . . .

.sig returned the following wikipedia page as the result:

Quote
A signature block (often abbreviated as signature, sig block, sig file, .sig, dot sig, siggy, or just sig) is a block of text automatically appended at the bottom of an e-mail message, Usenet article, or forum post.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Signature_block

So which is most snobby above?

You do know from .sig originates? It probably in the article somewhere.

After the many warnings and moderations you've received for all kinds of obscenities, one would think you should have learned by now to exercise much greater judgment so you would avoid posting such sick images as I just removed. Seeing that you haven't learned yet, you are back on post moderation for the next 99 days. Seeing also that this is the second time you've received the max duration of moderation for an obscenity, I am also going to look into having you muted. This has gone on far too long.

If you wish to appeal this decision, please send me a PM.

Don't know why it escalated like that.

Acceptance in what you are goes a long way to understanding.

I can't speak for orthonorm, but I hate the show because of its formulaic and dumb writing, its really haphaz and 2-dimensional attempts to be gritty, and its general complete superfluity now that so many superior things (e.g. The Wire) exist.

Am I the only one who thinks that Nas is the most overrated rapper ever? He's boring, dull, inconsistent, absolutely no sense of style or personality, monotonous, lousy flow etc. He only released one good album (Illmatic) and even then, it is very overrated and not nearly as good as people make it out to be. He's just a poor man's Rakim. Hell, at least Tupac had emotion, whereas Nas doesn't really have anything.

I love this song, and the video that goes with it.

Kelly Clarkson - People Like Us

Having recently found out I am Clarkson fan, I will probably like after I hear it on radios around me.
BAHAHHAHA are you miss independent?

Or do you need to breakaway?

Whiskeytown's  "Stranger's Almanac"

Will most likely move on to the debut "Faithless Street" when this record is over.

**Explicit Content**

Pain by Tupac. This song got me through my childhood, along with the Me Against the World album that I used to blare in my headphones to drown out the sound of my parents arguing.

Kid A is better than OK Computer

But Radiohead still suck.

Although I do like Kid A quite a bit.

I dunno, I found out some of the songs I sing while trying to gear up to face the world looking into the mirror are by Kelly Clarkson.

Internationale in Finnish

I'm not a Socialist (except by American standards Grin) but these old-fashioned left-wing songs are quite nice.

"I'm not a crack rapper, I'm not a backpacker, I'm not a wack rapper moonlighting as a bad actor..." - Immortal Technique

After getting TV recently, I watched an episode of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. A terrible show and nearly unwatchable. Ice-T provided comic relief. There is a plastic ficus in the lobby that can deliver lines with more conviction.
I liked John Mulaney's take on SVU and Ice-T's role.

I'm currently listening to people plan the construction of a bookshelf. It's really boring.

An interesting talk by Fr. Meletios Weber (mp3) about the role of the laity. I imagine some of the stuff he says about St. Constantine, the laity, clergy, monasticism, etc. ruffled some feathers, but some good stuff here...
