Nice. "They own sweat shops, pet cops, and fields of cola/ murder babies with they molars on the areola/ control the Pope, Dalai Lama, and the Ayatollah" Always liked Boots odd flow, especially early on. Always slightly off beat without syncopation. Nice to have party track to dance to about killing capitalists. Musta been a fan of Emma Goldman: Masses move as well as @$$3$ do. Class is through. [Nice pun.] Our time is over. Past its due. / (Our time is overpast its due.)

Metal Church - Beyond the BlackJust bought this at FYE today. Third time I've owned it. Good stuff, don't know why I keep selling it. It came on this thing some of you old timers might remember: they call it a "Compact Disc". Ever heard of these things? I also bought Down's first album (Nola), which I didn't like when I first owned it, but that was probably 13-14 years ago... so, since it was only $7 I figured I'd give it another shot. Last album I got was a greatest hits type album of Lynyrd Skynyrd songs. Never much into them, but anyway... Oops, while I was typing this the first song finished, and it's now on the title track.

Assembling desk soundtrack: Gogol Bordello and Billy Joel (been on a Billy Joel kick lately. His songs just bring back so many memories).
And Alanis Morisette. YES. Sometimes you just need some angry chick music.

I'll one up you with Gretchen > Flyleaf (well, Gretchen's first album. Hated their second one).
I do like them just fine, but sometimes Lacey's voice grates a bit. But my favorite is the Memento Mori album.

At Least I Got a Car: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpsTbfFmddoMiddle class existential crises... It's cheesy, but it still touches a special place in the heart of a kid from a rural Louisiana community who was convinced Kansas City was musical mecca. This video is mislabeled as being performed by "Waterdeep," which is understandable as members of Waterdeep were the backing band (and Don was one of the members), but this is from one of his solo projects after he shed a lot of his Christian music base because he started cussing.

His voice is a little rough around the edges, but the song isn't half bad. At first I thought it was going to sound like Tracy Chapman's Fast Car ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfqEisOIMJc). AHHH. Love that song, too. I sing it when I'm home alone, but I'm a soprano and it's just a beyond embarrassing attempt. I'm sure my neighbors love me.

Found some of my old Plumb CDs. She was the only singer that I felt comfortable with recommending to my non-Christian friends...her latest song sounds like regular CCM. Sad. But I can still enjoy CandyCoatedWaterDrops.
