Bridge Collapse in Minneapolis-St. Paul
« on: August 01, 2007, 10:18:51 PM »
Lord have mercy...  Are any members of OC.net out in the Twin Cities area? A bridge over the Mississippi collapsed with reports of 50-100 vehicles on it.  Some deaths have already been reported.  May they rest in Peace.  :'(

Wow. Lord, have mercy. Memory eternal for those who have already passed.

Though I live quite a ways from the Twin Cities, my wife and I were just there in April, so this is a bit of a shock to us.

Lord have mercy on all His servants!

I used to live in M'pls, and would drive over that bridge often.

Lord have mercy.  Ironically, I just got back from a Panakhida...before the funeral tomorrow.

As is coming out, there seem to have been very few deaths considering how many cars were on the bridge. And that the children on the school bus were all able to escape as well is something to be very thankful for.

I don't know if they really did so, but the loathsome Westboro Baptist/Phelps clan was threatening to picket the funerals of those who were killed  >:(  :(

I did read that a Greek Orthodox lady is among the victims. Katherine or Katrina (last name not published).
I'll see if I can source this.
