Is church music sometimes produced with Orchestra or Symphony?
The local court Representative said my new name was Ghana M. Ghat.

An amazing 'It is truly Meet' chanted by the choir of the Holy Athonite Monastery of Vatopedi, in Mode Plagal of 2nd. The composer is unknown:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5G1Zw0MVSA

-Especially for our most holy, pure, blessed, and glorious Lady, the Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary.

It is truly meet to bless thee, O Theotokos, thou the ever blessed, and most pure, and the Mother of our God.
Thou the more honourable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the Seraphim, who without corruption gavest birth to God the Word, thou the true Theotokos, we magnify thee.

The communal hymn for the Theometoric feast days, after Peter 'the sweet' Bereketis (+1715), in Mode Grave, chanted by the choir of the Holy Athonite Monastery of Vatopedi:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4GhHYw03LQ&t=6s

I will take the cup of salvation, and I will call upon the name of the Lord, Alleluia.

Vesperal Doxastikon for the feast of the Entrance  into the Temple of the Most Holy Lady Theotokos & Ever-virgin Mary, in Mode Plagal of 4th chanted by the choir of the Holy Athonite Monastery of Vatopedi (live recording, 2016):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0vbFg0wWys

Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
Both now and ever and unto the ages of ages, Amen.
O Lady and Bride of God, you entered the Temple of God in your infancy to be brought up in the Holy of Holies, for you are holy. The archangel Gabriel was sent to serve you and bring you food. All the heavenly powers were amazed at the sight of the Holy Spirit dweling in you. Therefore, O most pure and immaculate Theotokos, since you are glorified in heaven and on earth, through your prayers save our human race.

Doxastikon of the Aposticha for the feast of the Entrance into the Temple of the Most Holy Lady Theotokos & Ever-virgin Mary in Mode Plagal of 2nd after Theophanes Vatopedinos, chanted by the Byzantine choir "Tropos" (live recording, Holy Monastery of Sinai, 2013):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbWHcL1sNN8

Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
Both now and ever and unto the ages of ages, Amen.
Today let us the assembled faithful triumph in spirit! Let us reverently praise the child of God, Virgin and Theotokos as she is offered in the Temple of the Lord. She who was forechosen from all generations to be the dwelling-place of Christ, the Master and God of all. Virgins bearing lamps, go before her, honouring the majestic advance of the ever-Virgin! Mothers, set aside every sorrow to follow them in gladness, singing the praises of her who became the Mother of God and mediator of joy for the world! With the angel, let us all joyfully cry: Rejoice! To her, for she is the joyous one who ever intercedes for our souls!

Dogmatic Doxastikon in Mode 1st after Dionysius Photeinos (+1821) chanted by fr. dn Ioannes from the Holy Skete of St. Demetrius (Lakkoskete), Mount Athos:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7qFMR3HA9E

Glory to the Father and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
Both now and ever and to the ages of ages, Amen.
The universal glory born of men, who hath given birth unto the Master, the heavenly gate: let us praise Mary the Virgin, the song of the bodiless hosts, and the adornment of the faithful. For she was shown to be a Heaven and a temple of the Godhead; destroying the wall of enmity, she ushered in peace and opened the Kingdom. Possessing, therefore, this anchor of faith, we have as champion the Lord Who was born of her. Take courage, therefore, take courage, O ye people of God; for He shall fight thine enemies, since He is the Almighty One.

Doxastikon of the Nativity Lauds in Mode Plagal of 2nd after Costantine Pringos (+1964), the chanter is Charalambos Symeonides:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCK4lk8acqU

Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
When it was time on earth for thy coming the first taxation of the world was held and then Thou didst make ready to enroll the names of all who believed in Thy Nativity; for this cause didst Caesar issue forth such a decree since Thine eternal and unoriginate Kingdom wast newly born. As we pay Thee our taxes of tribute with the wealth of Orthodox Theology, as the God and Saviour of our souls.

The "As many have been baptized into Christ" that replaces the Trisagion hymn in the Nativity Liturgy, in Mode 1st after Hieromonk Theophanis of Vatopedi, chanted by the Byzantine Choir "Tropos":

As many have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ, Alleluia.
As many have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ, Alleluia.
As many have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ, Alleluia.
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
Both now and ever and unto the ages of ages, Amen.
Have put on Christ, Alleluia.

I'm finally studying modalism... I never thought the Byzantine tones might be just the diatonic scale with different tonics, lol! At least the modern rendering, of course... I see there are more complex traditional scales. At least that's what I understood.

An amazing octoechos 'O Virgin Theotokos' after Peter 'the Sweet' Bereketis (+1710 οr 1715) chanted antiphonally in Greek by the 'Theotokos Orthodox Choir' (Beirut, Lebanon) & in Romanian by the 'Byzantion Academic Choir' (Iași, Romania) during an all-nigh Vigil at Saint Sava Church, Iași, Romania (live recording, October 2016):

This one hymn takes forty-two minutes to chant in this setting?

There is a commercial recording which lasts about forty-six minutes!

I would assume that when this extended chant is used at the artoklasia, during the all night vigil, then the other two times it is chanted in a simpler form.

Yes, but it's highly unlikely to listen to such long hymns at parishes. Only at monasteries during special occasions.
And I thought Copts took forever to chant...
Well, the Matinal Doxastikon of the Lauds from the Transfiguration of the Lord (August 6), in Mode Plagal of 4th after Balasios the priest (second half of 17th c.) is 55' long:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4HeKhoqSZQ

The recording is made at the New Skete, Mount Athos, the chanters are fathers Damascene & Theodosius of New Skete.

(Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit).
Christ took Peter, James, and John with Him up upon a mountain, and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His garments became glistening white. Moses and Elijah appeared with Christ, talking to Him, and a bright cloud overshadowed the Lord and His disciples, and there came a voice from the cloud saying: "This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased; hear Him."

These kind of looong, and very extended hymns are called μαθήματα mathḗmata (plural), μάθημα máthēma (singular) which is the equivalent of étude(s) in the western tradition, and were compiled into a book called μαθηματάριον mathēmatárion in mid-19th c.

Idiomelon (Samoglasen) from the 4th Sunday of Lenten Triodion (Cheesefare Sunday), after Thrasyboulos Stanitsas in Mode Pl. of 1st, chanted by the Archon Protopsaltis of the Great Church of Christ (Ecumenical Patriarchate), Panagiotis Neochoritis (live recording, 2017):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13T__lUN0_I

The arena of the virtues has been opened, let all who wish to struggle for the prize now enter, girding themselves for the noble contest of the Fast; for those that strive lawfully are justly crowned, taking up the armour of the Cross; let us make war against the enemy, let us have as our invincible rampart the Faith, prayer as our breastplate, and as our helmet almsgiving, and as our sword, let us use fasting that cuts away all evil from our heart. If we do this, we shall receive the true crown from Christ the King of all at the Day of Judgment.

Doxastikon of the Praises from the 4th Sunday of Lenten Triodion (Cheesefare Sunday), in Mode Pl. of 2nd, after James the Protopsaltis (+1800), chanted by the Archon Protopsaltis of the Great Church of Christ (Ecumenical Patriarchate), Panagiotis Neochoritis (live recording, 2017):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRk1NX8sl8A

Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit
The time has come, the start of our spiritual contests, the victory over demons, the full armour of self-control, the angels' dignity, the confidence before God. Thereby did Moses become conversant with the Creator, and heard the invisible voice. Lord, through fasting make us worthy to worship Your Passion and holy Resurrection, as You love humanity.

A blessed Great Lent to all.

The Paschal Megalynarion after Balasios the Priest (second half of 17th c.) in Mode 1st, chanted by Dimos Papadzalakis:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TD8qoZnela8&t= (~47')

The Angel cried to the Lady full of grace; Rejoice, O Pure Virgin, again I say; Rejoice, your Son is risen from His three days in the tomb.
Shine, shine, O New Jerusalem, for the glory of the Lord has shone on you. Exult now and be glad, O Zion, and you, O Pure Theotokos, be radiant in the Resurrection of your Son.

The extended Paschal Troparion in Mode 1st, a masterpiece, after Manuel the New Chrysaphes (+1682) chanted by the "Cretan Maistors":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8TZDJ-GxqgI (~40')

Christ is risen from the dead, trampling down death by death, and upon those in the tombs bestowing life.

I'm finally studying modalism... I never thought the Byzantine tones might be just the diatonic scale with different tonics, lol! At least the modern rendering, of course... I see there are more complex traditional scales. At least that's what I understood.
I've understood it so wrong and it's so hard.

The Paschal Doxastikon "It is the day of the Resurrection" in Mode 1st and in English, after fr. Seraphim Dedes:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhSkZ7VjX2Q

Glory to the Father and Son and Holy Spirit.
It is the day of the Resurrection. Let us shine brightly for the festival, and also embrace one another. Brethren, let us say even to those who hate us, ‘Let us forgive everything for the Resurrection.’ And thus let us cry aloud, ‘Christ is risen from the dead, by death trampling down upon death, and to those in the tombs He has granted life.'

I'm finally studying modalism... I never thought the Byzantine tones might be just the diatonic scale with different tonics, lol! At least the modern rendering, of course... I see there are more complex traditional scales. At least that's what I understood.
I've understood it so wrong and it's so hard.
From my own personal experience, the key is to listen to alot of recordings of old traditional chanters. Then good knowledge of theory & patience.

The Arad eparchy  has had a rather long and well individualized liturgical tradition,  even though under assault today. However the local chant and usages are still alive  even though  we cannot be sure they’d survive after the current archbishop dies, since we have seen in neighboring éparchies, a fired replacement of the local chant by the so-called psaltic chant when a bishop with no ties to the respective diocese arrived.
It’s a chant that’s obviously not standard Byzantine, it’s also different from what they use in the formerly Greek Catholic parts of Transylvania, being more varied and, I believe, retaining more Byzantine features, even though folklorized . It’s probably closest to what they use in the former Karlovac jurisdiction
.

Thank you for this link. Indeed, the Paschal Canon resembles the same hymn in karlovački chant.
I love Byzantine chant, but generally, I'm in favour of preserving local traditions, local chants, so thanks God this diocese has such bishop. Hopefully it won't change after his death.
I remember when I was at service in Cluj Napoca in the cathedral the chant was also very Romanian, I mean not pure Byzantine ('psaltica') but ofc absolutely traditional, regional, I loved it.

Cluj is different from Arad. Cluj used to be GC so they learned their tones in Blak, whereas in Arad and Banat and other parts of Western Romania GCatholivism never became more than a minority so the cultural links were for hundreds  of years diffèrent.
Another type of chant is what they use in Sibiu , named after its compiler Dimitrie Cunțanu.

Yeah that’s what they use in southern Transylvania which also stayed mostlyOrthodox ; Northern Transylvania was almost 100% Greek Catholic.
What we use is different as well and was mainly codified by Trifon Lugojanu in the 19th century.
