I have no problem, but I cannot move my posts to a new thread, only a mod can do it. So, if a mod starts a new thread for Byzantine specific hymnody, and is willing to move all of my posts there, I can live with it
I would be even for a sub-forum, in which you could create threads by type of hymns, occassions/feasts or something like that. It would be easier to find particular hymn or particular arrangement or performance. It's not necessary co reate second psaltologion forum, but something more basic, but on ther hand, more specialised than this general thread.

Some Byzantine hymns for st. Paisios that's feast today:

Troparion and Theotokion in Greek

Troparion in Arabic

Troparion in Church Slavonic

Paraklesis in Arabic

I just love arabic! I like the lyrics of the theotokion. Of the best about our Mother.
For You keep my lamp burning; Lord my God You illumine my darkness. (Psalm 17:29)

A channel of Byzantine Musical Theory

Among others, four Cherubic hymns after Theodore Phocaeus are presented both as Byzantine parallage (solmization) and as melos (chanting by reading the syllables under the melodic characters), the chanter is Theodoros Vasilikos:

I'm adding four full parts of concerts from Valaam festival "Pokrovitel" featuring choirs from Romania, Greece, Lebanon, Georgia, Armenia and Russia. Not all of them are Byzantine, frankly speaking.

Cherubic Hymn in Pl. of 1st Mode after Constantine Pringos (+1964) chanted by the choir "The Psaltic Workshop" (live recording, Belgrade, Serbia, November 2015):

We who mystically represent the Cherubim, and who sing to the Life-Giving Trinity the thrice-holy hymn, let us now lay aside all earthly cares that we may receive the King of all, escorted invisibly by the angelic orders; Alleluia.

Praise the Lord in the Heavens, Alleluia.

Vesperal Doxastikon for the feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos "By the royal command of God" chanted by the monks of the Holy Monastery of Iveron, Mount Athos in all eight modes of the Byzantine Music (octoechos), after Peter Philanthides (+1920) (live recording, 2002):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3k-v18deIg

Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit
Both now and ever and unto the ages of ages, Amen.

Mode 1st
By the royal command of God, the divinely inspired apostles, were caught up from all over the world by the clouds on high.

Mode Plagal of 1st
Reaching thine immaculate body, the source of Life they venerated it with mighty honour.

Mode 2nd
The highest Powers of heaven stood by their own Master.

Mode Plagal of 2nd
Seized with dread they accompanied thine inviolate body that had held God, and they went on high before thee, crying unseen to the hierarchies above: "Lo, the Queen of all, the Maid of God, is nigh".

Mode 3rd
Open wide the gates and receive above the world the Mother of the ever lasting Light.

Mode Grave
For through he the salvation of all mankind has come; we have not the strength to look upon her, and are unable to render honours worthy of her.

Mode 4th
For her excellence is past all understanding.

Mode Plagal of 4th
Therefore, O most pure Theotokos who livest forever with thy Son, the King Who brings life, pray without ceasing that thy newborn people be guarded on every side and saved from all adverse assault; for we are under thy protection.

Mode 1st
And we bless thee in beauty and light unto all ages.

An abridged & shorter one after Peter the Peloponnesian (+1778) chanted by Gregory Anastasiou:

A blessed feast to those in the Julian calendar.

Father Thomas Mikrayanannites (+2016) is chanting a troparion from the Akathist to the Theotokos, in octoechos, after the Protopsaltis of Smyrna, Nicholas Georgiou (+1887):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rB1k6UC5BrE

Rejoice, O thou only one who blossomed forth the unfading Rose; rejoice, for to thee was born the Apple fragrant and sweet, for thou art O Maid, the only King's pure fragrance; rejoice, O unwedded one, ransom of all the world.

Father Thomas Mikrayanannites (+2016) is chanting the Kontakion from the canon of st. Andrew of Crete (Thursday in the 5th week of Great Lent), after the Protopsaltis of Smyrna, Nicholas Georgiou (+1887) in Mode Pl. of 2nd:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTVMANcGZOo

My soul, my soul, arise! Why are you sleeping? The end is drawing near, and you will be confounded. Awake, then, and be watchful, that Christ our God may spare you, Who is everywhere present and fills all things.

Both recordings took place on Mount Athos 23-24 years ago.

Θ' Ἐωθινόν Δοξαστικόν -- 9th Matinal Doxastikon, after Athanasios Karamanis (+2012), Mode Pl. of 1st, chanted by Georgios Rissanes (live recording, 8/21/2016):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8b6yRrTJNo

Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit
In these later times Thou camest to thy friends at evening of the first day of the week, O Christ; and by Thine entry whilst the doors were shut, Thou by a wonder didst confirm a wonder, even Thy Resurrection from the dead. Then thou didst fill the disciples with joy and didst impart the Holy Spirit to them, and didst bestow on them authority to forgive sins; more over Thou didst not abandon Thomas to founder in the billows of unbelief. Wherefore, grant us also true knowledge and remission of offences, O compassionate Lord.

Communion Hymn for the feasts honoring the Theotokos after Peter the Peloponnesian (+1778) in Mode 4th "Agia" chanted by the Greek-Byzantine Choir, under Lycourgos Angelopoulos (+2014):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqNDscr7myA

I will receive the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord, Alleluia.

Matinal Doxastikon from the Feast of Elevation of the Holy Cross after Peter the Peloponnesian (+1778) in Mode Pl. of 2nd chanted by Panagiotis Neochorites (live recording, Patriarchal Cathedral of St. George, Istanbul, 9/14/2016):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7glQRFaI4kk

Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
Both now and ever and unto the ages of ages, Amen.
Today the Cross of the Lord goeth forth, and the faithful welcome it with longing, and they receive healing of soul and body and of every malady. Let us kiss it with joy and fear: with fear,
because of sin, for we are unworthy; with joy, because of the salvation granted to the world by Him Who was crucified thereon, Christ the Lord, Who hath Great Mercy.

The Great Doxology after Peter the Peloponnesian in Mode 4th "Agia" chanted antiphonally by Panagiotis Neochorites and Stylianos Phloikos (live recording, Patriarchal Cathedral of St. George, Istanbul, 9/14/2016):

Glory to Thee, Who hast shown forth the light. Glory be to God on high, and on earth peace, goodwill towards men.
We praise Thee, we bless Thee, we worship Thee, we glorify Thee, we give thanks to Thee for Thy great glory.
O Lord and King, heavenly God, Father Almighty; O Lord, the only-begotten Son Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit.
O Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, that takest away the sin of the world; have mercy upon us, Thou that takest away the sins of the world.
Accept our prayer, Thou that sittest on the right hand of the Father, and have mercy upon us.
For Thou only art Holy; Thou only art Lord, Jesus Christ, in the glory of God the Father, Amen.
Every day will I bless Thee and will I praise Thy Name forever and ever.
Strengthen us, O Lord, this day to be kept sinless.
Blessed art Thou, O Lord, God of our fathers, and praised and glorified is Thy Name forever, Amen.
Let Thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, as we trust on Thee.
Blessed art Thou, O Lord, teach me Thy statutes. (x3)
O Lord, Thou hast been a refuge for us from generation to generation. I said, Lord have mercy upon me; heal my soul, for I have sinned against Thee.
O Lord, to Thee have I fled; teach me to do Thy will, for Thou art my God.
For with Thee is the fountain of life; in Thy light we shall see light.
Extend Thy mercy unto them that know Thee.
Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy upon us. (x3)
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
Both now and forever, and from all ages to all ages, Amen.
Holy Immortal, have mercy upon us.

Any particular reason?
On Monday afternoons in remembrance of the 10th c. miracle a Supplicatory Canon is chanted to the Theotokos, while on Tuesdays a short canon is inserted in the Divine Liturgy. The recording therefore was made on a given Tuesday.

Rather than the insertion of 'a short supplicatory canon' is this not just the third antiphon of the typical psalms - the Beatitudes with troparia from the canon interspersed?

Yes it is exactly that, a short Supplication to the Theotokos with the Beatitudes as verse. Here's the Great Supplicatory Canon to the Theotokos (the melody is the same):

The Cherubic Hymn as chanted by Patriarch Neofit of the Bulgarian Church (when he was Metropolitan of Russe). It is Byzantine Chant but with a more open (less nasal) sound that one can find in the Bulgarian variant.

Ο all-glorious Demetrius keep watch over the city which doth magnify thee, from the adversaries' attacks; for thou art favoured by Christ who did glorify thee. O Demetrius of ever-constant memory keep watch over the city which doth praise thee, fight along with our leaders, strengthen thy city and those who reverently doth praise thee O Demetrius of ever-constant memory -kratema- for thou art favoured by Christ who did glorify thee.

The Axion Estin in English chanted by Nicholas Baba & Holy Virgin Mary chanters in Mode Pl. of 1st (I think it's the so-called Patriarchal, live recording, Holy Virgin Cathedral Geary Blvd. San Francisco, CA., USA) I find it truly exquisite (although I think a less elaborate chanting is preferable):

The Vesperal "Lord I have cried" in English, in Mode 3rd (I think it's again the traditional heirmologic one after Peter the Peloponnesian) chanted by Nicholas Baba:

Fr. Panteleimon Kartsonas was born in 1936 in Patras, Greece, and became an Athonite monk at a very young age. He wanted to become an iconographer, but he had a very beautiful voice and he became one of the most recognised chanters on Athos (eventually he became a very talented iconographer too). He had a very sweet voice but had serious health issues as well and reposed in the Lord at the age of 56 in 1992. He spent his entire monastic life at the Skete of Hagia Anna.

The Pasa Pnoi after James the Protopsaltis (+1800) in Mode 1st, chanted by fr. Panteleimon Kartsonas (live recording, Holy Monastery of Philotheou, Mount Athos, 1984):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bF3gakrlpJY

Let everything that breathes praise the Lord. Praise the Lord from the heavens, praise Him in the highest. It is fitting to sing a hymn to Thee, O God.

Verses from the Great Doxology after the Metropolitan of Madytus, Kosmas (+1901) in Mode Pl. of 4th soft chromatic chanted by fr. Panteleimon Kartsonas:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5k7U6wqzzo

Glory to Thee who shows forth light, glory to God in the highest, peace on earth and good will among men.
Lord King, Heavenly God, Father Almighty, O Lord only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit.
Receive our prayer, O Thou who sittest at the right hand of the Father, and have mercy on us.
Every day will I bless Thee, and I will praise Thy name forever and unto the ages of ages.
Blessed are Thou O Lord, God of our fathers; and praised and glorified is Thy name unto the ages. Amen.
Blessed art Thou, O Lord, teach me Thy statutes.
O Lord, Thou hast been our refuge from generation to generation. I said: Lord, have mercy on me, heal my soul, for I have sinned against Thee.
O Lord, to Thee have I come for refuge, teach me to do Thy will, for Thou art my God.
Continue Thy mercy unto those who know Thee.
Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us.
Holy God,
Holy Mighty,
Holy Immortal, have mercy on us.

Verses from the Resurrectional Evlogitaria from the Great & Holy Friday Matins, Mode Pl. of 1st chanted by fr. Panteleimon Kartsonas:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3L7cS1un_o

-Blessed art Thou O Lord teach me Thy statutes.
The company of angels was amazed, beholding Thee, 0 Savior, numbered among the dead, who hast destroyed the power of death, and raised up Adam with Thy self, setting all men free from Hades.
-Blessed art Thou O Lord teach me Thy statutes.
The women bearing sweet smelling ointment, hastened early in the morning to Thy tomb lamenting, but the angel arose before them and said: "The time for lamentation has ceased weep not. But tell the apostles of the resurrection".
-Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
We worship the Father together with His Son and the Holy Spirit, the Holy Trinity one in essence, and we cry with the seraphim: "Holy, Holy, Holy art Thou, O Lord".
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Glory to Thee, O God.

Τhe Matinal Doxastikon from the Dormition of the Theotokos in Mode Pl. of 2nd after Themistocles Georgiades (+1944) chanted by fr. Panteleimon Kartsonas:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5zBOFE_Pyw

At thy deathless Dormition, O Theotokos, Mother of Life, clouds caught the apostles up into the air: though dispersed throughout the world, they were brought together to form a single choir before thy most pure body. And burying thee with reverence, they sang aloud the words of Gabriel: 'Rejoice, thou who art full of grace, O Virgin Mother who knewest not wedlock, the Lord is with thee. Entreat Him who is thy Son and our God to save our souls

The Pasapnoaria after Iakovos the Protopsaltis (+1800) in Mode 3rd chanted antiphonally by the Protopsaltis locum tenens at the Patriarchal Cathedral in Istanbul (Constantinople), Panagiotis Neochorites and the 1st Domestikos Stylianos Phloikos (live recording, 9/1/2016):

The extended Evlogetaria in Mode Pl. of 1st chanted antiphonally by the Protopsaltis locum tenens at the Patriarchal Cathedral in Istanbul (Constantinople), Panagiotis Neochorites and the 1st Domestikos Stylianos Phloikos (live recording, 9/4/2016):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZzX3rLC0r4

Blessed art Thou, O Lord, teach me Thy statutes.

The assembly of angels was amazed, beholding Thee, a man among the dead, yet O Saviour destroying the stronghold of death, and with Thyself raising up Adam, and freeing all from Hades.

Blessed art Thou, O Lord, teach me Thy statutes.

"Why mingle ye myrrh with tears of pity, O ye women disciples?" Thus the radiant angel within the tomb addressed the myrrh-bearing women. "Behold the tomb and understand, for the Saviour has risen from the tomb."

Blessed art Thou, O Lord, teach me Thy statutes.

Very early the myrrh-bearing women hastened, unto thy tomb, lamenting. But the angel stood before them and said: "The time for lamentation is passed! Weep not! But tell of the resurrection to the apostles."

Blessed art Thou, O Lord, teach me Thy statutes.

The myrrh-bearing women, with myrrh came to Thy tomb, O Saviour, made ready. But the angel addressed them saying, "Why seek ye the living among the dead? For as God He is risen from the tomb!"

Glory to the Father and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Let us all worship the Father, and His Son, and the Holy Spirit; the Holy Trinity, one in essence; crying with the Seraphim: Holy, Holy, Holy art Thou, O Lord.

Both now and ever, and to the ages of ages, Amen.

In bringing for the Giver of Life, thou hast delivered Adam from Sin, O Virgin, and hast brought joy to Eve instead of sorrow. Man thus fallen from life, hath thereunto been restored by Him who of thee was incarnate, both God and man.

Father Deacon Dionysios Firfiris was born in 1912 in a rural village in northern Greece and at the age of 8 (after the death of his mother) followed his father on Athos (his father was a handyman working at Karyes, the seat of the self-governing body of the Athonite Republic). He then followed his hieromonk uncle who was a talented chanter, was tonsured monk and spent his entire monastic life (+1990) on Athos. He was considered the living chanting tradition of Athos, as he was student of the great Hagiorite chanters fr. Gabriel Karyotes, fr. Daniel Katounakiotes, fr. Synesios Stavroniketianos (regarded as the "second Koukouzelis") etc. Ηe chanted at the Protaton Church in Karyes since 1930 and became the Protopsaltis there.

Receive our prayer, O Thou who sittest at the right hand of the Father, and have mercy on us.
Blessed art Thou O Lord, God of our fathers; and praised and glorified is Thy name unto the ages. Amen.
Continue Thy mercy unto those who know Thee.
Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us.

Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
Both now and ever and unto the ages of ages, Amen.
O Lady, reveive the supplications of your servants and deliver us from any necessity and sorrow.

Doxastikon of the Praises from the Synaxis of the Holy Archangels and the Bodiless Powers, after James the Protopsaltis (+1800) in Mode Pl. of 1st chanted by fr. deacon Dionysios:

Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
Where your grace casts its shade, Archangel, there the devil’s power is chased away; for the fallen Lucifer cannot endure in your light; and so we ask you, quench his fiery darts, directed against us, delivering us by your mediation, from his traps, Michael Archangel, worthy of praise.

The same one after Peter Filanthides (+1915) chanted by fr. deacon Dionysios and a choir of monks from the Holy Monastery of Docheiariou, Mount Athos (live recording 1989):
