Mid-Pentecost Vespers
« on: May 18, 2003, 12:09:09 AM »
Does anyone have ready access to the Stikhera and Apostikha verses (with designated Tones) for this coming Tuesday evening's Vespers, Revised Julian Calendar, Feast of Mid-Pentecost (combined with the Commemoration of Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Constantine and his mother, Helen)?

Our retired former rector never served Vespers for the Midfeast of Pentecost, so our choir director can't locate any music for same.  Our new acting rector has scheduled Vespers for this Tuesday evening in addition to Liturgy on Wednesday morning (we do have the changeable Divine Liturgy texts, e.g., Tropar, Kondak, etc.--the former rector *did* serve Liturgy on the feast day without Vespers the evening before).

I presume you mean in English.  Here are the texts for Vespers:

I don't know what the rubrics book has for the combination.  I will look for the daily parts, no idea if they can be found online.

Thanks, Tony.  We *do* have the rubrics, but we were lacking the text and music for Vespers--Obikhod preferred, naturally.   ;)
