Prayers for my former (and hopefully future) student
« on: June 20, 2007, 03:25:51 PM »
Dear forum members,

Please pray for Nicole P., a former biology student of mine who is currently serving in the US Army and has been recently deployed to the Middle East.

Nicole has been baptized Orthodox (yes!!! converted from Wesleyan Methodism), and her baptismal name is Barbara.

She is 21 and extremely gifted - I pray and hope that she will return to school before long!

Thank you,

George

Lord, have mercy.

Lord have mercy on His Servant!

Let us know how things go...in my parish alone, we have 17 folks currently in Iraq or who have come back within the year (and thus have certain pastoral needs). One mother to which I'm especially sympathetic towards has two sons there, both in the same division....I pray every day that she won't become a modern Mrs. Sullivan.

Just got a short e-mail from her. She writes that she is alive, although has seen a number of IED going off :(

She is now engaged to be married to a guy called R., of Indian descent. They plan to get married immediately when they return.

Lord, have mercy!

Thank you all for your prayers.

Lord, have mercy and grant a safe return!
