Earlier today, Fr. Mitred Protopriest Roman Lukianov, pastor emeritus of Holy Epiphany Russian Orthodox Church (ROCOR) in Roslindale, MA passed away after the lengthy heroic battle with cancer. May God bless his soul! Lord, have mercy. Gospodi pomiluy. Hospody pomyluy.
Some members of Fr. Roman's family reed this forum. Deepest condolences to them. As someone, who communicated to him recently, I can make a statement that I had a privilege to witness the exodus of a real Christian and an unimaginable Christian behavior in his condition.

For the Repose of Thy servants, Fr. Roman, Lord have mercy.

As a result of a thousand million years of evolution, the universe is becoming conscious of itself, able to understand something of its past history and its possible future.

With the spirits of the righteous made perfect Give rest to the soul of Your servant, O Savior; And keep it safe in that life of blessedness That is lived with You, O Friend of Man.

An old timer is a man who's had a lot of interesting experiences -- some of them true.

Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway, the good fortune to run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference.
I'll take you for who you are if you take me for everything.

Eternal memory.

If you're living a happy life as a Christian, you're doing something wrong.
