Serge, this is rich and full of humor in places too.  Much of Bishop +SERAPHIM's sparkling personality comes through too.  Thanks for this post.

For those not in the "know," His Grace, +SERAPHIM [Sigrist] served as Bishop of Sendai and East Japan until the Autonomous Japanese Orthodox Church was able to elect a native Japanese to fill the office.

He is a GREAT Hierarch and someone who has influenced by decision to be Orthodox

For those who like that sort of thing, that is the sort of thing they like!-

Thank-you for the link, Serge.  He certainly is very "human" and seems quite accessable.  It was very interesting reading.

"I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die [...] These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." -The Lord Jesus Christ

Very much so.  Thanks for bumping this.
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Mor Ephrem is a nice guy.  Just say sorry and it will all be ok. Say I had things that were inside troubling me but I didn't know how to express appropriately. I will not behave that way again but I am seeking help.

...if you feel Mor really is in spiritual danger, pray the Jesus prayer for him.   :police:
