Serge, this is rich and full of humor in places too.  Much of Bishop +SERAPHIM's sparkling personality comes through too.  Thanks for this post.

For those not in the "know," His Grace, +SERAPHIM [Sigrist] served as Bishop of Sendai and East Japan until the Autonomous Japanese Orthodox Church was able to elect a native Japanese to fill the office.
