My grandmother has had alsheirmer's disease for well over ten years. She is starting to fail, and is not expected to live over the next few days. Last night a wonderful priest came to visit her, with my family, and myself present. He said Mass and gave her anointing of the sick, as well as her final communion. Even though my family is Catholic, I would appreciate the prayers of anyone here at OC.net on behalf of my grandmother.

I'm so sorry, my grandmother passed recently as well, with the same sort of issues. So ((((hugs))) to you for that.
And I will pray that she has an easy time and a happy one for however long she has left.

Indeed, may the Lord have mercy on His servant Erlinda and grant strength and comfort to her and her family. My wife's grandfather was given 6 months to live 11 years ago and now has Alzheimer's as well. My heart is with you, brother.

Thank you all for your kindness and prayers. My grandmother passed on to Lord this morning at 2:30 AM. She was surrounded by a loving family, graced by the sacraments, and prepared by many prayers from her family, friends, and the people here at OC.net. May she she rest eternal in the Lord. I am greatly comforted that she died on the feast of St. Joseph, the Patron of a happy death. Many Blessings in Christ

I know how hard it is; over the past two years, all eight of my great-aunts have died from that disease.
Lord, may her memory be eternal.
