"Main Icon" in icon corner
« on: February 02, 2007, 02:51:39 PM »
In our icon corner at home, I have a space for a festal or "featured" icon right in the middle.  Normally it is an icon of the Resurrection, but with Lent coming up, I'd like to swap it out for one that would be appropriate for the season.  I was considering either "Extreme Humility" or "The Holy Napkin".

Any thoughts/ideas/advice?

Why not try the Icon of the Ladder based upon St John Climacus' The Ladder. While you have that icon out read St Johns "The Ladder" as part of your meditations for Great Lent.

Hm, that's a good idea, as well.  I like that idea.

I liked the Lady Godiva icon idea.
