This is not the apostolic tradition as kept by the OO communion.
The closest OO communions come to this is what I think is called 'tensuring' or something like that which is the sprinkling of the blood on the body which the communicant than takes as "one". But this is really body and blood together. The Syrian and Armenian communions (depending on where you are) practice this. I am told that it is more 'clean' from germs this way.
The Coptic , Indian and Ethiopian do not use 'tensuring'. But the body is taken than the blood than Holy water afterward.
