Greetings in that Divine and Most Precious Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
It's great the NBA season is back, but too bad the Celtics have started off the season 0-2...  Undecided

Not to me, I'm from LA Wink

Go HEAT!! Go BLAKERZ!! and the entire west better watch out for the Thunder rolling in like straight Garth Brooks yo!

My poor Falcons, they still in it but that Who Dat blow out really hurt...  That is why in NFL you hedge your loyalties, Ravens still in it to win it and they just may be able to do it! Plus, those silly Packers should watch out for Lions, who have kept them to field goals all season.  If the NFL has taught me one thing its that the season-best record is NOT an indication of the Superbowl, ask last year's 13-3 Falcons, or 2004 15-1 Steelers, or the 16-0 Patriots fiasco of 2007...

If anything its much like in the NBA, the teams that dominate the season and the play-offs year after year only seem to run out of gas in their final games and lose it all, and the underdawg teams coming up from the bottom are just hungry enough with fresh legs to pull it off! For example, the Lakers last year clearly choked, but with 88 play off games and two NBA titles in a 4 year run how much could we expect? LeBron choked in game 5 last year of the NBA Finals, but the brother averaged 44 minutes in the season and 45 minutes in the play-offs, and he had 462 consecutive double-double games, how much gas can we honestly expect from people?

In regards to the Packers, they have simply done way to well to keep it up again, but the 03/04 Patriots prove my theory wrong so who knows?

Packers peaked. They'll lose before they get back to the Super Bowl, and Barca is just a shining example about what's wrong with European soccer.

Of course I can't prove that statement, but the Bruins are my first and greatest sporting love, and I will ride this out with joy.

They'll go down eventually. There's always a new side every decade or so. Once Ineista and Xavi retire Barca will start their decline.

Greetings in that Divine and Most Precious Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Kevin Durant with the game winning 3 at the buzzer take that Mavz!! For a brief moment Mavz actually believed they were "America's team" simply because folks were so vitriolic against LeBron and the Heat, but realistically, America ain't never been rooting for the Mavs, and I am glad all the teams from last year's playoffs have put Dallas back in their little place as traditional play-off fodder Wink

Team USA was a disgrace, though it's good for hockey that Juniors teams outside of the US and Canada are getting stronger.

Greetings in that Divine and Most Precious Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

What a weekend, the NFL play-offs are going to be very exciting!

I'm glad Lions had a respectable loss because I needed them to lose to benefit my Falcons who can now skip the Saints and yet the Lions have been playing the best against Packers and so I didn't want Detroit to get clowned, and they came through for sure.  Personally, I think that if Detroit beats the Saints and they will ride to Green Bay and if there is a team in the NFL right now that can actually limit the Packers at home it has been the Lions Wink

I was hoping for the Cowboys both because they deserved to advance and because I think the Falcons got a better chance against Dallas then the peaking Giants..

Poor poor poor Raiders, I mean its not like we in RaiderNation aren't used to these kind of season endings, however this one was close when it was 26-31 and to advance would have been such a wonderful tribute to Al Davis, I must admit I was almost teary eyed after that loss because at times it was so close, perhaps Oakland's closest chance at the play-offs in the past 9 years, but even Hue Jackson called it, where was the Defense? All Oakland needed was ONE STOP or ONE TURNOVER and they would've advanced but they couldn't even pull off that!!

Ravens clinched home-field and their Division Crown and I LOVE IT!! Folks got to go to Baltimore now, Ravens weakness in the play-offs has been playing Steelers away, let Pittsburg come to Baltimore and try it again Wink

stay blessed,

What a Sunday.

Pats clinch homefield, Jets go home, Giants knock the Cowboys out. Awesome.

Now to the bowls, because this Winter Classic is unwatchable.

And it's on! In a Rose Bowl that has offered up plenty of offense in just the first quarter alone, the Ducks' De'Anthony Thomas scores on a 91-yard TD run on the last play of the quarter to tie the game at 14-14.

After giving up a TD to the Badgers, the Ducks come right back to gain 46 on the kickoff return and score on a 54-yard pass play. That's 145 yards of offense on just their last two offensive plays! Game tied at 21.

And it's on! In a Rose Bowl that has offered up plenty of offense in just the first quarter alone, the Ducks' De'Anthony Thomas scores on a 91-yard TD run on the last play of the quarter to tie the game at 14-14.

GO DUCKS!
After giving up a TD to the Badgers, the Ducks come right back to gain 46 on the kickoff return and score on a 54-yard pass play. That's 145 yards of offense on just their last two offensive plays! Game tied at 21.
If anyone's getting a workout, it's the scoreboard operator. Tied at 28 at halftime, the Ducks and Badgers combined to make this the highest scoring first half in Rose Bowl history. They're on pace to go into OT tied at 56.

What a Sunday.

Pats clinch homefield, Jets go home, Giants knock the Cowboys out. Awesome.

And, most importantly, the Bengals make it.
