What's with these commercials during the football game? Are the same people who are NFL fans really the target demographic for Zoolander 2? I would have thought it'd be the opposite.

Who's the guy top left, and was that originally Paul White (the Giant/big show)? If so the Brady was originally Nash? Otherwise if the top left guy was Nash then I'd guess that Brady was Razor Ramon (hey, yo) and the bottom left was Bischoff... bottom left guy (Kraft) looks smarmy like a corporate guy, but the pose is machismo-silly. Love the Hogan though... especially since he was infamous for his backstage politics and manipulation. (I was never a WCW guy though, usually only watched it because my friends insisted, so we'd channel surf back and forth, or if I could manage it just watch all WWF and watch WCW on the rebroadcast)

Well, if the Steelers can't go for a win in the Super Bowl, I hope Peyton Manning can do it.  I think he is a true class act.

You really have no idea how badly I wanted to gloat if we won to all the people I know back in Denver. My phone blew up with texts after the game was over. I just hate the Broncos so much and their arrogant fans.

Worse they will let the Pats have another crack at a ring.

I guess I'll listen to Seal's "Don't Cry" for my healing.

It's Andy Reid, and to be fair if Alex Smith wasn't QB I think they could have won.

Patriots just get it way too easy, their division is a complete joke.

If we do well in the draft and stay healthy, we have a much better shot at a SB next year. Hopefully our staff stays put and nobody leaves.

This is why I LOVE the new rule on PAT kicks! It brings back the question of whether a kicker will make or miss an extra-point kick and the greater potential that a missed kick will have a major impact on the outcome of the game. In short, it makes the PAT kick exciting again. ;D

I think in celebration of the Super Bowl, we should take a cue from Ancient Rome and have a fight between an actually panther and an actual bronco.
Is that what they teach you at the temple volnutt-stein?

Actually, it's Volnutt-berg.

Rome doesn't care. Rome is actually very cool guy.

In that case, I suppose it was good that the Cardinals didn't make it in. Much less exciting.

I've been saying the same thing. I wish'd they even back it up another 5-10 yds to make it even more interesting.

And really get that two-point conversion thing going into the game. ;)

Florida State. I dont think Florida is even in the top 10.

Seems like Saban knows how to pick up good high school players. Does Saban's system translate well to the NFL, in terms of Crimson Tide alums in the big leagues?

When they do instant replays and they bring the expert in to give his opinion... I'm pretty sure just randomly flipping a coin would get your better results than listening to him. Not sure if that says more about him or about the replay system in general.

I'm glad Peyton got his second ring, but I'm pretty sure John Elway could have come out of retirement and played a more effective game.
God bless!

The D and the run game won that one. But still, glad to see him go out on top.

We know how Eli feels that he is no longer the only Manning with the most rings:

Yeah.

I'm also glad to see Cam Newton humbled a bit.

I'm not. Now we get to hear for a week all the racists that are going to blame Cam for blowing the game.

If the Panthers won, I'm sure the racists would say that Cam didn't win, Manning lost.

I'm not really a big NFL fan, but it was nice to see a great defensive game, and I'm glad Manning won two super bowls.  I'd hve to look at the stats, but I thought Carolina outplayed Denver.  Sure, overall Denvers defense was the best thing on the field, but Carolinas wasn't far behind, and overall they had an offense that could put together some drives.  How many first down did Denver have? Did Denver convert a third down (how many 3rd and short did they fail at?) Their most effective offensive weapon was their Running back with 80 yards. By the start of the 4th quarter I would have predicted a 17 -  16 Carolina victory, if not a 24-16 Carolina victory. Did Denver even get 150 yards offense?  I wouldn't be surprised if Carolina's time of possession was 38 minutes.  The defense (and special teams) willed Denver to a victory. It was also nice to see a lot of Ohio State players in the game.

Biggest highlight:

Queen Bey.  Unfortunately she shared the stage with Bruno Mars and that other guy (?). I think she had less airtime than both of them.  Great dancing though.

also:

I surprisingly liked Lady Gaga's National Anthem.
