The Mets are not a smart organization.  From the article, they turned $5.9 Million in deferred money for Bobby Bonilla into $30 Million.  Of course, inflation and taxes will take a bite out of the $30 Million.  The dilemma of whether or not to buy the contract sounds like my old Engineering Economy class.

Now that my Bills are out of playoffs, hopefully  nice pity win against the Pats, and the Ravens make the super bowl and win it

The Ravens lost to another no name QB who outplayed Mr. $120.6 Million and Super Bowl MVP  ::) Joe Flacco.

I'm starting to think the Harbaugh brothers will fight to see who wants that $8 Million a year job at the Big House (Michigan): The coach with a Super Bowl win or the one with the Super Bowl loss.

After a rough start to their season, it's nice to see Beast Mode and the Legion of Boom back on top both in winning percentage (one of 5 NFC teams with the same 11-4 record) and in fewest points allowed (among all NFL teams, not just the NFC).

Dallas-Pittsburgh IV looks like an intriguing Super Bowl matchup....

Too much Deja Vu, eh? Hopefully a new team can break through and win their first, or if all else fails, that the Patriots can pull out a Super Bowl win. Brady is the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) at the quarterback position.

You never seen Joe Montana play? Compared to Joe Cool, Mr. Brady is just a kid.

If Seattle and Dallas meet in the playoffs, Tony Romo would have to expunge the demons from his fumbled FG attempt and defeat Seattle.

Dallas is very motivated - wanting a 9th SB appearance and tying Pittsburgh with 6 wins.  Plus, they haven't won a SB with Jerry Jones as owner/GM God (I think they had a GM in the 90's when they won 3 SBs).

COOL! The Seahawks just wrapped up the No. 1 seed in the NFC Playoffs for the second straight year! Will it be the two conference No. 1's in the Super Bowl as it was last year? If so, bring on the Patriots! Give the Hawks a chance to humiliate the other of this generation's two greatest QBs in the Super Bowl. ;D

I was just listening to the Steelers game tonight, and thinking about how they've gone up and down over the years as far as how good they were, but it's generally been by decade (great in 70s, horrible in 80s, ok in 90s, better in 00s, average in 10s), and that led me to wondering what the top 3-5 teams were by decade, as far as winning percentage and super bowl wins and such. That was one of the first links to come up with a simple Google search. I was going to post the actual info of the top 5 or so teams from each decade, but I got lazy and just gave the link.  :P

Unless you were thinking that that was my site, in which case, no, that's not mine. My collection of data is more theology focused  ;D

I was praying pretty hard with the Bengals marching down the field and lo, an angel of the Lord created a turnover and the forces of righteousness (aka the Steelers) prevailed.

Well, no surprises here. :( Depending on how you look at it, either the league or Ndamukong Suh gave the Cowboys a big gift in their wildcard game. Unless Suh wins his appeal, the Lions will be without their best run stopper against the league's leading rusher.

Big Ben threw 6 TDs when the Ravens came to Pittsburgh.

Ravens still have no secondary.  Big Ben throws another 6 TDs and blows out the Ravens.  Peyton Manning better hope for a heat wave in Denver and possibly Foxboro.

They're calling for rain, snow and mixed weather in Pittsburgh on Saturday night - which means that the Ravens/Steelers game could be an ugly affair.

It's a tossup.

Reports are the Steelers also brought in RB Tate for an interview. May the NFL gods grant the Steelers a 24 point first quarter, on the way to an easy win, so they can just keep Bell on the bench to rest.

Unless I have it wrong....Justin only -listens- to the games.....so you might be out of luck on visuals unless you are good at drawing the plays with crayons as they happen.

With that said,  "Go Hawks"

OUCH! That's gotta hurt! A Florida basketball player, in an attempt to rebound a Florida State player's missed attempt at a buzzer-beating game winning trey, ends up accidentally knocking the ball in himself, thereby scoring the game winner FOR THE OTHER TEAM! :o

DD is correct, though I have plenty of paper to color on!

As for the other part, I remember talk of painting walls and soiled carpets and whatnot in my lease, but nothing about sledgehammers, so it's all good!

Unfortunately when I did try some alternatives (you had suggested one as well last fall), none seemed to work out, or at least any better than the radio. To be honest I'm fine just listening, though I usually play a game or something while I listen.

Unfortunately when I did try some alternatives (you had suggested one as well last fall), none seemed to work out, or at least any better than the radio. To be honest I'm fine just listening, though I usually play a game or something while I listen.
Hey, don't feel bad. I don't have a TV in my room, so I end up usually listening to my favorite college games on the radio. I do plan to watch tomorrow's Rose Bowl at a friend's house, though. GO DUCKS!

Quack!  Unless the Seminoles mount a comeback from their 12 pt deficit, their lengthy win streak will end and the Ducks will advance to the national championship game.

I'm loving this beat down of FSU! Now let's hope that my TIDE can get it done so we can meet the Ducks in the National Championship. Congrats to Peter and his Oregon Ducks! Now, ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!
