Still almost a 40 point game.

Spoelstra kept calm with the garbage he was seeing. He's a cool dude.

If Spurs win Game 4 it's gonna be a longshot for Miamia

Wade and Bosh suck

In shocking news, a country with nearly 100x the population of another managed to score two goals against them.

In embarrassing news, fans of said country think this amounts to a victory.

I use relative GDP into my maths as well.

And did India ever occupy the Netherlands? I also use that.

Last World Cup I actually did quite nicely taking a few dogs.

I bet on them to lose the Women's World Cup. I even got huge odds at the bar throughout the match.

One of the best days of my life.

Last time in men's it was the Serbian upset of Germany that put $$$$$$$$$$$$ into the bank for me.

I just want to say thanks to the guys running the Pirates broadcast tonight. That 35 seconds that you insisted on keeping the camera on Clint Hurdle while he bit his nails was mesmerizing. Then that 10 second bit at the end while he picked his nose? Wow. Now that's why I watch the Bucs! Keep up the good job!

PS. Can we get some earwax picking tomorrow night? Extra props if he sniffs it...

I like Tim Duncan much more than Kobe. However, I don't think it's a fair comparison. They play different positions and do different things. So, as far as skills, it's apples and oranges. However, I think Duncan is a better team leader. Choosing between both players at their primes, I'd choose to build my team around Tim Duncan rather than Kobe. He's much more unselfish and less egotistical. Duncan has brought stability and consistency to that franchise in a way that is remarkably rare in today's professional climate.

FWIW, I consider Tim Duncan the best power forward of all time. One of the best low post defenders ever, and also a very good scorer. It shouldn't come as any surprise that the 1999 San Antonio Spurs defense that set the record for lowest field goal percentage against was anchored by the Admiral, David Robinson, and the Big Fundamental, Tim Duncan.

Yeah, we agree on this one Peter. Duncan is a unique combination of a 4 and a 5. Defends the rim like a center, and has a post up game as well as a finesse midrange game.

If I had to pick my all time starting 5 by position:

1- Magic
2- Jordan
3- Bird (as much as I hate to do it)
4- Duncan
5- Olajuwon (The center is the toughest one to decide. A good argument could be made for lots of others, but I just personally like Olajuwon's ability and both ends of the floor.)

If I had to pick my all time 5 regardless of position:

1- Magic
2- Jordan
3- Bird
4- Lebron
5- Duncan

I think I've finally put my finger on the problem with Lebron, looking at it objectively. He over-analyzes the game. He overthinks things on the court, and it inhibits his natural strengths. I'm actually not knocking him for this. It's sort of refreshing to see a superstar who studies the game and tries to find ways to facilitate his teammates. But he needs to know when to turn the analyst switch off and resort to his street ball instincts. Jordan was a great student of the game, but it never impeded his instincts.

That's my two cents.

The under looks again like the best bet. I hate a nearly even spread in any NBA game.

You have San Antonio giving two or so on most books.

If had a book right now, I would go crazy and parlay an under into a Heat win and move the line at the expense of the under toward a solid Heat win, if they would let me, banking on defense on both ends winning.

you need any money to help with the bet.

Because of stupid federal regulations, I got a Casino within a mile of me that can't have sports book. And I am not enough of a degenerate to be connected to any of the guys running them locally.

During the World Cup, cause of folks I know at work, I'll get in touch with someone I know in Europe and gamble that.

If you ever go to Vegas, go during some sporting event you love and watch it at the book. It's incredible.

I gotta take care of a beverage and food situation.

Passing note on dumb Miami fan behavior. I think it is low class to boo any team being introduced, if there is no bad blood between the teams, especially when the other team is a class act.

Boston, Indiana, and Chicago suck and should be peppered with garbage when they step on the floor, but the tepid booing of the San Antonio players was just stupid.
