Ah, yes, the Heat had plenty of basketball IQ, as evidenced by blowing a 15 point lead in 4 minutes by taking contested 3's and fouling on the rebounds.

Also, Pierce was 8-19 and KG was 6-18, they had 5 less offensive rebounds and their entire bench only scored 7 points so I don't know why people keep saying that just because Rondo had an amazing game.

Again, Elias Sports Stats says that the previous combined high for Garnett, Rondo, Allen, and Pierce was 95, so even though I agree with you about Celtics having poor shooting, it seems it was still some of their best as a unit.  Also, Celtic had a lead in all five periods, so they must have had something going right.

FINALLY!!!

After 50 years and 8,019 games, someone in a NY Mets uniform finally pitched a no-hitter! Johan Santana vs. the St. Louis Cardinals on June 1, 2012.

You can't out-think dumb, because they don't know they're being out-thunk.

But anyway, your opinion is very bad. If I didn't know any better, I wouldn't have thought we were talking about a team that was 10-1 in the playoffs. This year's Spurs are better than the team that got swept in 2010. Their flaws from that season really aren't the same as now. Also, relying on talent and not playbooks is part of what lost the Heat the finals last year.

All the Spurs are missing are dunks and iso-ball and dumber players, right?
One other thing to consider about the Spurs is their continuity. Their three core players, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, and Tim Duncan, have been playing together for a full decade. They have to know each other's strengths (and weaknesses) intimately by now.

It would have been cooler if it was the Dickster, but Johan owns too.

To think that the all-time leader in career no-hitters pitched, Nolan Ryan, started his career with the Mets (and was traded before he threw no-no No. 1).

And you can thank the third-base umpire for that to some degree. That shot he called foul touched the chalk and should have been a double down the line. Oh well. Dem's da breaks. ;)

Greetings in that Divine and Most Precious Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Finally, the Celtics won a game.

They've won a few more than just a game, but I'm sure Boston as a city is relieved. We'll see if OKC's readjustments on defense can shake up the Spurs again tonight.

Quote
The Spurs don’t like to help from strong side -- and strong side corner is a major no-no. This is one of the bedrock principles of the San Antonio defense which, though it’s not the industrial vise it used to be a few years ago, is still smart and disciplined.

Knowing that, can you turn that discipline against the Spurs? Is that even possible?

At the 8:00 mark of the second quarter, the Thunder set up by having Westbrook attack from the top of the floor, with Durant, Fisher and Collison positioned on the strong side. James Harden stood by himself on the weak side, guarded by Danny Green, who is focused on what Westbrook might be up to. When Westbrook got a strong first step on Parker, going left into the paint, Green was the man to help. With Green now collapsing from the weak side (that's the coverage), Westbrook got deep, then slung a two-handed pass out to Harden in the right corner. Harden had eons, and he drained the 3-pointer.

Poor Serge Ibaka! Kevin Durant's 18 points in the 4th quarter made everyone forget the perfect night his teammate Ibaka had: 11-11 from the field and 4-4 from the line.

Greetings in that Divine and Most Precious Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Ah Durant playing out of his mind again.

Serge Ibaka:
11-11 field goals
4-4 free throws

the 2nd best perfect game in NBA post-season history.  Durant exploded in the fourth, but was slumping in the first half when Collison, Perkins, Ibaka, and Sefolosha all made up for poor shooting by everyone else.  Spurs took a gamble and lost.  Monday is going to be intense.

Hey you sports nerds. I don't have cable and usually follow whatever sports I gamble on at a bar or with someone who is watching the game.

Tonight, I have a modest sum on the Heat, but I would like to stay home and do some other stuff and the amount of money ain't enough to really push me up the street.

Any place where one can stream the game? Feel free to PM me.

If you have PMed me, the mods have taken my ability to PM away. Please see my email if you wish to contact me during my time of trial.

I sent you a PM for a different site but for everyone else:
http://espn.go.com/watchespn/index/_/channel/espn3#type/upcoming/

That's ESPN's live stream, you got to have cable for it though. IOW you would need to login with your information that the cable company gives you, like Xfinity (Comcast) with your sign on info.

The NBA should really just destroy any evidence of this game ever happening.

Greetings in that Divine and Most Precious Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

LEBRON JAMES JUST FOULED OUT WHAAAAT

THE FIX IS IN

First time in four years and if you look clearly Boston fouled him first which led to the collision.  However a fair loss is a fair loss, and if Heat can do it then they can do it one way or the other, and if not, then let Boston take their chances with the Spurs or even the Thunder.

stay blessed,
