Hi all,
Please could you pray for a young boy from my parish, Edi, who has just passed on and for his family that they might be comforted. They came to Britain so that they could get treatment for Edi's leukaemia but unfortunately the treatment was not successful.
Thank you
James

Lord, place Edi where there is no suffering, sighing, or sorrow; and comfort his family so that they may know that with You there is always hope.
May his memory be eternal!

He was 10. Despite the age difference, my son used to play with him when he was well enough to come to church and we became quite close to his family. It was terrible news to hear that he had passed on - his father had just gone to Athos to pray for him there as well. James

Thank you. Edi was the same age as our middle child. Are there other children in the family? I am so very sorry for the parents. "No parent should have to bury their child." :'(

I agree with you entirely. I can't imagine anything worse than having to bury your child. Edi has two sisters, both younger, one of whom was born here in Britain last year. James

My humble prayers for God's precious little child Edi...may he rest in peace and may his memory be eternal in the kingdom of God, and may his family be comforted by our most holy lady Theotokos each and every day.
In Christ our Hope, Alice
