Hi Friends,
You will notice a new feature added to the site: tags. Tags help with site indexing, searching, and hashing. It would be quite beneficial if you could take a few seconds during posting to add some tags to threads that are lacking.

Got curious as to what a tag was, clicked on "Add Tag," and the Shout Box came up and won't go away. What should I do?

just helps in indexing and lookup. Once we get enough threads tagged you can hotlink and have a "tag cloud" which will help in retrieving information relevant to your searches.

I believe you can tag any thread. Just look at the bottomn of all the posts, there should be an "add tag" link...
Could be wrong though...

Tags are already starting to be taken to the extreme. If tags are abused I will have to pull the plug on them. So please be reasonable.

Perhaps some general guidelines would be good. I know that I've probably made a couple that went over the line, such as my line about "the price of not using condoms" in the Aids thread. I'll delete it.

Does deleting a tag delete the tag for good, or only for the one so deleting, because I just came across some really stupid and provocative tags which are completely irrelevant to the subject of the threads to which they are attached and which I wish to have completely removed.
