My dad's laid up in Maury Regional Hospital with extreme double pneumonia. I walked into work at the Sheriffs Dpt last night and was told, "Your sister just called. Your dad coded."
In case you don't know what coded means, that's medical jargon for "he went into cardiac arrest."
The old buzzard was too stubborn to take his medicine, and now he's laid up pretty bad. I just got off the phone with the nurse at the CCU, and the doctor has to put another chest tube in him (that HURTS).
Say a prayer for my dad (and, for the nurses if he wakes up).
Kyrie Eleison.

Kyrie Eleison! Good Lord, man. This is the fourth one I know about this month who has this happening. Have mercy on us O Lord and save us!

Lord, have mercy. Lord, help Gabriel's father and grant him health and many years. Jesus, help the family in this time of trouble. Please help the medical personnel involved, strengthen them and enable them to make the most effective medical decisions. Jarhad barham. Kyrie Eleison. Lord, have mercy.

Update:
Dad's lungs are doing better, and his vitals are stable. Unfortunately, he's now in a coma. Docs aren't sure if it's his body shutting down to protect itself, or if it's something more serious and permanent.
Thanks for the replies, y'all.
