Well, OC.net has been back a month after its various trials and tribulations.

Any thoughts after one month?

Me personally, being a statistics nut, noticed that the past 31 days have seen over 3000 posts, so it's good to see that the rate is about what it was before the downtime....

It's good to have the site back.

Ditto.

On another topic, it seems like there might still be some posters out there who are still not aware that the site is back up and running.  Is there anyway to let them know that we're back?

And what about the possibility of restoring the use of avatars?

Avatars will be restored as soon as Robert does some tinkering this week. I just didn't feel like letting the site get broken again soon after it went up again.

Other past features?

Jurisdiction/Church Designation option
Spellchecker
Country (from IP address on Who's online)
Flags
Member map (I don't miss it)
Chatroom (I never got last verson to work)
Shoutbox (New Random Postings does work, I guess)

More or less my order of importance...

Well, flags were based on the member map (that's how I got Mongolia)... I liked the flags (and, thus, Map), spellcheck, Country, and jurisdiction... the other two I could do without (I was always a fan of the Post Count -> Random Postings thread).

Makes sense to me.

I used to like having the chatroom.  It hasn't been there for awhile.  It was cool to be able to go there and really  chat with people, instead of just trading posts with everyone.  The jurisdiciton/church designation thing is also good I think.
