Me after Theophany the other day. Should I try to grow a beard? Oh my... James, you look exactly like a guy I know. Yes, for the sake of my sanity, grow a beard.

KBN1 - very nice picture,, what you were yelling/doing while it was been taking?
If you hadn't posted your jurisdiction, I wouldn't know from which continent you are, regarding to what Michal has written.
Maybe in another picture of you smiling would indicate you're an American.
I don't know what I was doing. It was at a friend's Christmas party. I was probably just yelling something to someone across the room.

americans are fatter and have their teeth straightened and smile a lot and are very polite? (i spent nearly a week in america, so must be some kind of an expert after that!) If you ever visit Charleston, South Carolina, your judgment regarding the latter two traits will indeed be confirmed. A bit of bragging for the Holy City as we call her): - Most mannerly city for 11 straight years - In 2011, Travel and Leisure Magazine named Charleston “America’s Sexiest City”, as well as “America’s Most Friendly.” Subsequently, Southern Living Magazine named Charleston “the most polite and hospitable city in America.” - Conde Nast Traveler survey named her as the top tourist destination in the US (for many years) and the top tourist destination in the world (2012). Charleston cuisine has been on the vanguard of the New Southern Cuisine, which has attracted attention in world culinary circles. I am not at all suggesting that Charleston is superior to any other city; rather I am suggesting that you will not be disappointed should you decide to visit.

What's ironic is that many Americans--especially in California where I live--are precisely trying to look like Europeans because we envision them as being more intelligent and enlightened or something.

I too noticed that the younger people on the street in SF look way more "European" (dress-wise) than those in Chicago.

My parents are finally getting along, I'm losing weight, on my way to university, and now it looks like I'm going back to Church. I couldn't be happier with the way my life is going.

Thanks - even though you can't really tell from the picture, I've since cut off about half a foot of it so now the ponytail is shoulder-length. And based on your picture you'd have quite a way to go if you did.

Nephi, I think you like metal To be honest I really used to during my teen years, but I never listen to it anymore. And relevantly enough it was mostly an eclectic mix of different European metal bands.

Did used to read a lot of fantasy books as well (Conan, Tolkien, Dragonlance, Forgotten Realms, etc.), but Warhammer 40k or Warhammer Fantasy? I have a 40k Tyranid army in the works.
