I understand that some people would prefer to remain anonymous, but, just in case, if you are not terribly concerned about revealing/not revealing your name, please do feel free to request my friendship on Facebook. I have recently joined Facebook and I really like it. I am George V. Pinchuk. Just type my name in the search window and request my firendship, I will confirm the moment I see your request. I do very much look forward to having all of you as friends. --G.

I've been meaning to ask you. Many years! Was your husband able to come back for the blessed event? And has the older brother laid off on the spiders?

My husband was home for about 2 weeks, he left a week ago and is back in Afghanistan. Our newest daughter is 4 weeks on Tuesday. Ollie lost the spiders up until recently, but happily (eh...for HIM not the rest of us) they were found today. So the spider chasing has begun anew.

Ah... glory to Jesus Christ. I'll bet it is "beautiful to watch". I know it was "beautiful to read"! It put me in mind of my three (all grown now with kids of their own). The oldest (my daughter Lisa) was fiercely defensive of her young brother and he, in turn, worshiped the ground she walked on. Knowing that your kids love one another so much must be a great comfort to both you and your husband. All the best.

Well, what I usually do is upload the pic to a site such as Image Shack, then use a link to the pic to post the pic here (you put the image link between bracketed IMG and /IMG).

It's at the "Media Upload" part of the site. For some reason the first one doesn't work for me and I have to click the "Can't Upload? Try This." link. Then you click the "Browse" button and find the pic on your computer. And then just click "upload now". That'll upload your pic.

What type of file are you trying to use? A jpg, bmp, gif, something else? If it's a file type that isn't accepted, you could always google "convert to jpg" and convert the file to a jpg before uploading it. This is starting to involve a lot of steps, sorry about that!

No. I apologize. Thanks for your help. It does seem that I need to figure out how to convert my file to "jpg" or something else. I'll google it and see what I find out. Gonna leave it alone for now, and have a go at it later. Thanks for your patience and help. Selam

I'm glad you like the name, you are one of the few! My grandmother thought it was a horrible name, and that she'd never learn how to spell it, lol. Not many like the tattoo either, but that's ok. Regarding the pic of me, I look grumpy there, don't I? I almost always look grumpy and standoffish. Here's one of Mary and I where I'm at least half smiling... And so as not to scandalize the delicate flowers and prickly cactuses, let me just assure you that, no, we weren't completely naked in that pic

Also, the picture was in black and white, but it showed up in color for some reason. The picture about which you asked is a picture of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I, the same man holding the Cross in my avatar. Is he a relative....? Well, he is my ultimate spiritual father. Selam

Well, he is my ultimate spiritual father. I really like the triptych icon behind you (the one with the blessing cross on it). Where could I get one? It's an interesting story about that icon... It had been in our home (the home I grew up in) for as long as I can remember. I don't know where my parents got it, or even the origin of it. My parents are not even Christians (more agnostic). But that icon was displayed in our living room next to the Holy Bible for as long as I can remember. Even when I accepted Christ at age 19, as a Protestant I never paid attention to that icon. I just assumed it was some Catholic thing. But a few months after I was baptized into the EOTC, my mother came to visit me and gave me that lovely icon as a gift. I was deeply moved by her gesture, because I had intended to ask her if she might leave me that icon in her will. It really is beautiful, but I don't know the origin of it. I grew up in a very chaotic and troubled household. But I really think the presence of that Icon helped to ward off a lot of evil. Selam

Let me try this... Didn't work. I give up. Selam Is that a scarf or some sort of prayer shawl you're wearing? The white garment around my shoulders is called a "Natela," which is what we Ethiopian Christians wear when we go to Church. I am wearing an Ethiopian scarf around my head, but men do not cover our heads when at Church. Outside of Church I usually like to keep my head covered. Not because of baldness or religious belief, but I just feel more comfortable with a hat or scarf on my head. Selam

Vain existence can never exist, for \\\"unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain.\\\" (Psalm 127)
If the faith is unchanged and rock solid, then the gates of Hades never prevailed in the end.

We all have a Black Dog and a White Dog inside of us. The One you feed the most eventually eats the Other.
All are tempted, but it is the courageous person who clings to God during the storm. For the Ego is a prison, but Christ is the Liberator
