Dramatic kilted profile.
You sound like a professional who knows what he's talking about.  That's because you are.

Blimey!
Quote from: Fr Alexander Schmemann
The Gospel is quite clear: both saints and sinners love God. "Religious" people do not love him, and whenever they can, they crucify him.

Of course, OC.net is not reflective of the Church, but is rather a surreal bubble. I have visited a lot of different parishes around the world and have listened to many hours of AFR...

Seems to be missing some elements of the uniform. ;)

Thanks for showing the picture! It's always great to put a face to a name (well, a username).

Quite a few, actually.

The black tie with the tailcoat is strange, but still. It is almost too much awesome for one picture.

Nice kilt you have there, though. Very impressive.

Good catch on the lack of white tie with dinner jacket, Cyrillic. However, I'm sure that, since neither modern dinner jacket nor tuxedo are traditions of very long standing, there must be other legitimate inheritors of the old suavete, and he might not be wrong for his culture (I wouldn't know).

My Scottish blood comes from a poor region of the Tweed River Valley, and that is the tartan my kilt is made from. While I doubt they wore white undershirts, I'm not sure they had the money to afford the finery you expect, either.  :D I do have the knife sticking out of my sock.  ;)

They still would have worn sash or vest, belt and buckle, and probably boots. At least on Sundays. :)

I don't have the sash/vest, but I do have the boots. I used to have a belt but it no longer fits me. Time to get a new one!  :P

Dramatic kilted profile.

You look extraordinarily familiar. Me thinks that we may have come across each other without realizing it in the past, which isn't unlikely given our close proximity to each other.
Until I see the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come, I will not believe.

I guess it is a possibility! I don't leave Arizona often, though.

I thought you were from San Francisco? I live only 20 minutes away from that city.

I'm pretty sure that's part of the formal vetting process.

As I always say, you don't get many opportunities to yell at a bishop.

Proper bishop material? :P I'm pretty sure half of a bishop's job or more is to get yelled at. Probably a good way to become Christ-like.

One that does not have many opportunities to yell at bishops, at least one in my position...lol!

I'm curious to know...was this a "hi I'm over here" yell or a more "I don't like what you did" yell...or was this a committee meeting, in which case I understand the latter...lol

Oh my.  :P
You sound like a professional who knows what he's talking about.  That's because you are.

Wow, looks like she voted 12 times in the Iraqi election, or something.

I thought all y'all Indians were peaceful Buddhists or something?

Don't worry Mor, I got yo back:

Vain existence can never exist, for "unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain." (Psalm 127)

If the faith is unchanged and rock solid, then the gates of Hades never prevailed in the end.

You should hope Mor doesn't wish the Sikh puncher in the picture on you......;)

I think this one has voted in every election since the end of the Raj!

I would be happy to agree with you, but then both of us would be wrong.

LOL.

The Gospel is quite clear: both saints and sinners love God. "Religious" people do not love him, and whenever they can, they crucify him.

I really need to stop.  I am trying to invite myself to an Indian friend's party Saturday night and if I don't stop he might have Mor and Mina tie me to a metal grate, pull my heart out, and lower me into a pit of boiling curry/lava whilst chanting "Khali ma!".

I have been called a heartless {censored} from time to time, but despite the insistence of those people, I do in fact have a heart, my doctor even found it once.  I'd like to keep it where it is, thank you very much.

Been a while since I posted on here. So, this happened last November.

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." Jer 29:11

So nothing I do is allowing me to upload the picture, modify my previous post, or post what I want. Sorry I wasted everyone's time.

Dramatic kilted profile.

You look extraordinarily familiar. Me thinks that we may have come across each other without realizing it in the past, which isn't unlikely given our close proximity to each other.

James, for a second I thought this was you and was booking a flight to set you straight.
