Reading during matins this morning. Awesome acoustics in this tiny side church. This congregation's first church that probably holds 30 people. They have a new one that is much larger. I like this one more though. No tv's, screens, or microphones. Just books and acoustics.

Books? Anathema!

Haha. Bruh, I'm like, so close to being a reader. I've already been "approved" and spoken with my priests, subdeacon, and His Grace. We're waiting for HG Bishop David to visit and we're giving last minute instruction to a few other psalti so we can do a bunch of ordinations on the same day.

My newest pictures from Serbia:

Two las ones had been taken just before I've seen (and even taken blessing and talked with a bit) Serbian patriarch, so it was really important and great day for me, especially that until that time I'd seen lots of various bishops and Church heads, but not mine Wink

You have really cool hair.

Here's one from quite a few years ago of my late grandfather and I:

Here's a more recent approximation of what I look like today (I've been told it's pretty close for a cartoon):

Yes, it runs in my family's blood. I've caught myself yelling at the TV before after a play even though I only would call myself a "causal fan".

As a true shepherd of the flock of Christ, thou didst bring the Orthodox Christian faith to the land of Pittsburgh. In following the example of the Holy Apostles, thou didst minister to thy flock, traversing the football field. Refusing touchdowns to the evil ones, thou didst intercept and swat down a multitude of passes. Rejoice, holy Troy, great wonderworker for all ages!

Champion of truth and teacher of spiritual awakening! Thrice blessed disciple of our great father Art Rooney, forever we shall call upon thine intercessions. Teach us to partake of thy greatness, O good shepherd of the western Pennsylvanian land. Thy defence of the goal line is renowned, and shall be remembered forever in the hearts of all people:

I think I'm in love.

The EO Church finds this acceptable as long as we don't live together and our private parts don't touch and we don't think about the private parts of one another. I'm not sure what the canons say about praying together in such situations, however.

Oh, I just meant two men who love each other praying together. Would that be looked upon more negatively than prayer between divided Christians ("no praying with heretics" and such)? I assume males and females can pray together whenever they want, even if their privates are touching. Though I must admit that I have often questioned the sincerity of the religious utterances that seem to be escaping lips of a partner when we are praying together while simultaneously enjoying a certain type of intimacy. It's like their minds aren't even on religious matters, however much they may speak of God, Jesus, etc. Rather unsettling.

I think that the fervent prayer comes before any privates touch.  He is praying that she is in the mood, and she is praying that a certain part of his body falls off.

In my experience, her prayer is along the lines of "Even so Lord, quickly come (for I have other things to do)"

This entire conversation drift explains so much about this place and the problems you all have.

I think we are being misunderstood! Sad I will ask Mephrem, Todd and Francis if it's ok for you to join us the next time we meet for champagne coolies, that way you'll be able to see that we're really just normal people. Cool
