Don't want to. I'm a bit paranoid over giving personal information or pictures to any internet service. Are there any sites that delete pictures over certain time or something?

Do you trust them? You would be doing the same here by "uploading it" as it would be indexed by search engines anyway.

http://www.tiikoni.com/tis/

More than I would trust some other sites. That site seems to be maintained some random Finnish nerd. When it comes to privacy I'd trust a nerd with all kinds of DIY open source ideas a lot more than a suit-wearing CEO of some major corpororation.

Anyway, here's my inner Asteriktos. It's an embarassing selfie from maybe a week or so ago. I was shopping and had to take proof that I've looked even this manly until I grow long hair again or something. I've had this short hair before but last time I just grew long hair again.

Alpo? Are those earrings?

People don't wear argyles in the US? I thought it's one of standard patterns in Western dressing.

Argyles can be okay when combined with a pipe and a flat cap. Earrings are a big no.

I do have a pipe and a flat cap. It's just too cold to use either. -15C.

Earrings are awesome. I'd like to have ear tunnels but I'm too lazy do anything for it so I've settled with these pirate-ish earrings.

No, man. It'll make you look like a metrosexual. Argyles will only make you look like a hipster, but that's okay because we both are.

Why don't we have a men's wear thread?

It depends on the overall look. Some people can carry those with taste but IMO it demands a bit Punk/Goth/otherwise subcultural clothing in general.

I think it was in Dionysius of Furna's Hermeneia that I read about how the iconographer is supposed to depict Satan in the Resurrection/Harrowing of Hell icon: it went something like "draw him with pierced ears, for he is a runaway slave".

I like earrings, but not on men.

It's fashionable for men to wear earrings here where I live in Australia (along with a lot of ink, some of which I find very attractive, especially that which incorporates Celtic symbolism - I keep meaning to get a Celtic symbol on my upper arm, but I'm basically a chicken when it comes to pain  Undecided ).  I actually like earrings on men in general; though I do find that liking doesn't extend to those earrings that stretch the earlobes. Personal taste, of course, not a condemnation.

Piercings and tattoos were considered a social travesty by Romans and Greeks and were, to them, the marks of slavery. (Hebrews pierced their slaves through the ear, to mark permanent ownership of Hebrew slaves - might be that they did it with Gentile slaves, too, not sure) They had problems with the Celtic practice of marking the body and it eventually died out as the Romans and then the church became more powerful and influential, first in Celtic/Gaulic areas in Europe, then in insular Celtic lands.

Ahh, memory lane. These are a few pictures I discovered from a younger, hairier, relatively happier me at a Christmas party with my friends back in 2011. I'm the short guy in the black sweater.

Me in the middle

Me and my best friend's sister

I'm the guy in the middle again; yes, I'm very short.

Here is a more recent, appealing photo of me in a drowsy, music-induced daze while browsing oc.net

I'm not American. I should have people buried here to aim that title, but I don't . However by and large I do like them. And Europeans aren't all that different. There is a book the narcissism of small differences I think. Right now I somehow feel like a rootless cosmopolitan .
