Title: Miracle in Aleppo
Post by: Salpy on September 04, 2005, 09:01:27 PM
There was a rumor at my church this morning that a miracle had occurred at a Chaldean church in Aleppo.  It had to do with a statue of the Virgin Mary inside their church.  Has anyone heard of this?

Supposedly what happened is the following:  The Mother of God began to speak through the statue.  She spoke, in Syriac, for about two hours.  This was witnessed by not only the Chaldeans who went to that church, but also by the Muslims from a nearby mosque who crowded inside the church when the miracle happened.

If anyone else here knows anything about this, I'd appreciate details.

Someone posted this earlier this morning, though it hasn't any replies: http://www.orthodoxchristianity.net/forum/index.php?topic=7041.0

Hope that helps.
