Title: Joan of Arc
Post by: Amatorus on September 19, 2015, 10:49:29 AM
Is there any Orthodox opinion of Joan of Arc? In the West, she is one of the most famous saints and late-medieval female figures. Obviously she's 400 years too late for veneration but do you think she deserves her recognition by the RC?

It is their prerogative to recognise sanctity as they understand it.

If I wanted to be professional, I would've given you a formal warning not to discuss Roman Catholic issues in this section.  But for the sake of your first question, I didn't do that, limiting myself to commenting on your last question.
